2021 VGT Member Day

King’s Links by the Sea

 

Due to the current Covid-19 Guidelines, the Golf Day at King’s Links is currently scheduled to be a VGT Member Day, rather than a golf tournament.  If the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted for golf tournaments prior to end of day on May 17, 2021, our May 25th date at Kings Links will then be offered as an Official VGT tournament.

 

The 2021 VGT MEMBER DAY AT KINGS LINKS is a fun 18-Hole Amateur Member day offering participation points for the 2021 SRIXON/CLEVELAND ORDER of MERIT.  The Member day is open for Amateur VGT Members with official Golf Canada or USGA handicap factors (18.0 or less – Male) (22.0 or less – Female).

All players must create a VGT Player Profile in Golf Genius to be eligible to play the 2021 VGT Season.

Registration Deadline: Monday May 17th at 6pm PST.

VGT Members have until the registration deadline at 6pm PST to register.

Full Field Size:  100 Amateurs

Amateur Prizing**: $4,000 based on 100 players ($40/player in prizing) + an additional $400 in donated gift cards (Me-n-Ed’s Pizza, Civic Hotel + Dominion Bar & Grill)

**Amateur Prizing will be awarded by Draw and by good play

 

Divisions:

Men’s Championship Flight (5.0 & less)

Women’s Championship Flight (5.0 & less)

Flight A (5.1 to 10.0)

Flight B (10.1 to 18.0)

Senior A Division (55+ and 8.0 & less)

Senior B Division (55+ and 8.1+)

Women’s A/B Division (5.1 & over)

 

*NOTE: There must be a minimum of five players registered in each flight for there to be a separate division.  If there are less than 5 players in the Senior Division or either of the Women’s Divisions, these players will compete against players from their own handicap flight.  In these cases, both women and seniors will be provided with an equitable yardage to play against their handicap peers.

 

 

 

ENTRY FEES:

 

VGT Member: $140+GST = $146.00

Non-member: $175+GST = $183.75

 

SKINS GAME: $20/player (optional)

Gross Skins for Champ Flight.  Net Skins for A/B and Senior Division combined

 

HOW TO REGISTER:

All players must establish or update their current VGT player profile on Golf Genius before they play in a 2021 event.  If you have not done so, please create your profile HERE:

The format of the VGT Member Day will be regular Rules of Golf play to a maximum of Net double bogey  per hole.  Players are asked to pick up if they reach this maximum.

 

Entry Fee includes:

  • 18 holes of Golf at Kings Links by the Sea
  • Three (3) Srixon Z-Star Balls
  • A $10 Food Voucher for the clubhouse
  • $40/PLAYER in Amateur Prizes = $4,000 based on Full Field of 100 players
  • An additional $400 in gift cards will be awarded as draw prizes!!
  • Prizing is calculated in each flight using alternating Gross and Net Scores
  • 60% of the prizing will be Draw Prizing, 40% will be for good play
  • Optional Gross & Net Skins Games
  • 500 points will be awarded to each player for the 2021 SRIXON / CLEVELAND Order of Merit for participating (over $7,500 in year-end prizing)
  • Live Leaderboard scoring thru our players app

 

Sponsor Prizes & Prize Credits:  Players will earn or be drawn for prize credits or prizes from the following sponsor brands that can be cashed shortly after the event, or they can be saved and cashed at the end of the season by Oct.30th, 2021
