Join us for a fun & friendly team competition! This format includes 6 holes Four Ball, 6 holes Chapman Alternate Shot, and 6 holes Scramble. This event is designed to be welcoming of all golfing abilities.

Eligibility

Open to female amateur golfers. You must have a handicap index active through Central Links Golf in order to be eligible for this event. If you are from out of the region, you can join the Eclub of Kansas City through this link.

 

The field will be comprised of 44 two-lady teams. 

 

Format

Holes 1-6: Four-Ball (85% of handicap) 

Holes 7-12: Chapman Alternate Shot (both players tee off, each player hits her partner’s tee shot, the team selects the best 2nd shot and alternates shots until the ball is holed) – A player receives 60% of handicap and B player receives 40% of handicap 

Holes 13-18: Scramble – A player receives 35% of handicap and B player receives 15% of handicap 

 

Maximum Score: 9 (if your team has not holed out in 9 strokes or fails to hole out, you will receive the maximum hole score of 9) 

 

Optional Competitions 

Net Skins Game: $10 per team paid back in cash on the day of play for an optional skins game across the entire field 

 

Hole-In-One Pool: $10 per team with the entire pot split between any players making a Hole-In-One during the tournament; if there are no Holes-In-One, the entire fund will be donated to the Girls Performance Initiative. 

 

Flights & Prizes

The field will be divided into four flights based on the team handicap index on May 12, 2021 revision.  Pairings will be published on May 12, 2021 via email and the tournament website. Player handicaps for the competition will be based on the index on May 16.  Approximately 25%-30% of the field in each flight will receive a prize in the form of gift certificates to the Canyon Farms Golf Shop.  Prizes will be awarded for both gross and net scoring in flights.  Teams may not win prizes for both gross and net scoring and will be awarded the highest prize their team score earns.  Overall gross and net winners will receive trophies. 

 

Ties

A hole-by-hole on-course playoff will be used in the event of a tie for first place overall gross.  All other ties will be broken using the USGA Method (last 9, last 6, last 3, last 1). 

  

Entries & Fees

Players may enter the event by registering online. Entries open on March 2, 2021, at 10:00 am.  The entry fee is $180 per team ($90 per player).   

  

The entry fee includes golf, cart, range, prizes, and dinner following play. Entries close at 11:00 p.m. Central Time on May 10, 2021.  

    

Schedule

11:00 AM Shotgun with lunch at the completion of play.

 

Awards will be presented as soon as the final group has been scored.  Skins will be processed last and can be mailed in the event a team leaves the site before scoring is finished. 

       

Rules of Golf, Competition is Final

Play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA.  Questions will be settled by the on-site Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. The competition is final when the Championship trophy has been presented.  

  

Equipment

All golf balls and clubs must conform to USGA specifications.  Any unusual equipment or devices, such as gloves, unusual tees, alignment aids, braces, and the like are prohibited by The Rules of Golf.  

 

Dress Code

Proper golf attire is required.  Jeans, halter tops, tank tops, and athletic t-shirts are not permitted. Shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.  

    

Transportation

Golf carts are included in the entry fee. Cart rules during the competition are subject to the discretion of the golf course superintendent at the host facility based on course conditions and may change without notice at any time during the competition.  ADA requests for special exceptions to this rule are handled on a case-by-case basis and will be granted provided they would not alter the fundamental fairness of the competition by providing a player with an advantage over other players.  Transportation requirements are subject to change based on evolving conditions. 

  

Registration

On-site registration will not be required.  Please arrive at your starting tee 10 minutes prior to your starting time to receive instructions. 

  

Practice Round & Practice Privileges  

Practice rounds are permitted, but not included in the tournament fee.  The host facility has graciously agreed to permit practice rounds at a rate of $30 walking and $50 riding.  Each participant may receive only one practice round at this rate and the practice round is limited to tournament players. 

 

Practice rounds can be played Tuesday- Thursday May 4-6th or May 11-16th after 12:00pm.  Players are only allowed to call 7 days in advance for a tee time.
