FORMAT/QUALIFYING PLACES

18 holes of individual stroke play for 6 qualifying spots and 2 alternate spots in the 2021 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship to be played August 2-8 at Westchester Country Club.

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call Woodmont G&CC to reserve your practice round starting time. Practice round fees are $30 plus tax and must be paid regardless of whether or not the player chooses to walk or ride. Cash and credit cards will be accepted methods of payment in the golf shop.

  • Monday – Thursday, anytime based on availability
  • Friday – Sunday, after 1 p.m., based on availability
  • Sunday, July 4, after 2:30p.m.

YARDAGES & TEES

A combination of tee markers and yardages from the club scorecard will primarily be utilized for the qualifying round. A yardage sheet will be available on-site and also through a link/download on the event portal. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the USGA/GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on July 5. 

CADDIES

Players may provide their own caddie. 

CARTS

Practice cart and range fees are $30 plus tax. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. During the qualifying round, a caddie may transport a player’s bag on a cart for a fee of $30 plus tax.  Spectator carts are strictly prohibited in all instances.

PRIZES

A silver medal will be presented to the low scorer at the conclusion of the qualifying rounds.

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Players should arrive to their assigned starting tee ten minutes before their starting time to allow for the starter to go over instructions and rules of play. Player withdraws must be called in to the GSGA office at (678) 324-5974 or e-mailed.

PREFERED LIES

Per the USGA, for all USGA Championships and qualifying rounds, the following policy is in effect: A Local Rule authorizing “Preferred Lies” or “Winter Rules” is NEVER permitted.

FOOD SERVICE

Food and beverage items will be available.

PERSONAL APPEARANCE

In Sectional Qualifying stages and the Championship proper, players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. The Committee in charge decides whether this requirement has been met, and has the authority to withdraw the entry of a player who does not comply.
