You do not have to register in the morning but we ask that you be on the correct tee 10 minutes prior to your tee time.  

 

18 Qualifying spots and 3 alternates.  The Ohio Amateur Championship will be played July 27-30 at Avalon Golf & CC (Avalon Lakes Course) with a set practice round day of July 26.

Special Notes and reminders: 

--No Denim, Cargo shorts or cargo pants.  

--Collared Shirts are required.  

--No Shoes with traditional spikes including ceramic or metal. 

--Parents/legal guardians are permitted to caddie.  The only restriction on who can caddie is below.  

--A player who is playing in the same round is not permitted to caddie. 

--Food and Beverage is available for purchase (CASH is PREFERRED!!)

--One Ball Rule not in effect.  

--Electronic Measuring Devices (as long as all other features are turned off) are permitted by the Rules of Golf.  

--We DO NOT play the local rule for Lost Ball/Ball out of Bounds. If your ball is lost outside of a penalty area or lost out of bounds, you must return to the spot of your previous stroke with a 1 stroke penalty.   

--Flagsticks are permitted to be removed/touched.

--Bunkers have rakes and the ball will be played as it lies.  

 

Hole Locations, Notice to Player (local rules) and OGA Hard Card (local rules) will be posted to the event portal on or before July 6.  We will hand out hard copies on your starting hole.  GGIDs will be provided for live scoring, but is not required.  The printed scorecard will be official and will need a signature from the player and marker to be certified.  

 

Carts are permitted at qualifying weather permitting, but MUST be rented from the golf shop.  No group may have more than two carts and if only two people are riding, then one cart per group.  If you have a caddie, the caddie or player may have to walk if the cart is shared with another player.   Pull Carts are permitted.  You may bring your own or rent one from the golf shop.  $29.  

 

Limited caddies are available from Portage CC.  Call the golf shop to make arrangements.
