2021 RDGA Two Person Alternate Shot

ENTRY FEE: $190 / two-person team
FIELD SIZE: 176 players; 88 two-person teams

RDGA TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES for 2021: The RDGA will continue to provide new health and safety guidelines for players to follow when participating in RDGA Tournaments this year, based on New York State COVID-19 guidance as well as best practices being followed by leading golf organizations across the country. FORMAT: The RDGA Two Person Alternate Shot tournament will include two-person teams, with both players hitting tee shots on every hole, then selecting one ball and alternating until holed. The event will feature 5 separate divisions: Men's Championship (Black Tees, played at scratch), Men's Senior (Blue Tees, played at scratch), Men's Net (White Tees, Net), Women's (Green-Yellow Tee, Net), and Mixed (Men - White Tees, Women - Green-Yellow Tees, Net). Junior players are eligible to participate in any flight except senior.
With RDGA District Championship exemptions being given to the top three teams (and ties) in the Men's Championship Division and the first place team (including ties) in the Men's Senior Division, this will be an opportunity for RDGA players to qualify for the 2022 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial at the Country Club of Rochester!
ABOUT: The RDGA Two Person Alternate Shot is open to ALL amateur golfers - men and women, and juniors - with an active USGA GHIN Handicap Index through a Rochester District Golf Association Member Club. Entry fee includes golf, cart & lunch for both team members, as well as more than $2000 in prizes to the field (approximately the top 1/4 of each Division). If you've never played in an actual golf tournament before - or if you are a seasoned veteran - this is a fun way to enjoy the RDGA tournament experience!
