I understand that my entry is subject to rejection at any time including during the Championship by the ASGA or the host club. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct. Any questions shall be settled by the ASGA, whose decision is final. I hereby acknowledge and agree that the Arkansas State Golf Association (the “ASGA”) and host club are taking commercially reasonable steps in accordance with Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”) guidelines and other applicable government regulations to provide a safe environment for the golf tournament being put on by the ASGA and the host club during the continuation of the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic.   By signature below or by completing the online entry and hitting the submit/enter button as described herein, I hereby acknowledge and agree that (i) I am fully aware and comprehend and appreciate the risks relating to the Covid 19 virus or other risks relating to the participation in this event, (ii) I understand and hereby voluntarily consent to accept these risks, and (iii) I hereby forever release, waive, acquit, and discharge the ASGA, the host club, and each of their respective owners, officers, employees, board of directors, agents, representatives, affiliates and assigns (collectively, the “Released Persons”) from and against all actions, rights, and causes of action, liabilities, damages, expenses, costs, claims and demands whatsoever that may exist or hereafter accrue against any Released Person who or which may be charged with responsibility for injuries to me, the treatment thereof, and all consequences flowing therefrom, as a result of participation in the golf tournament.

 

IMPORTANT: The ASGA will be utilizing unique practices to assist in social distancing.  Caddies, if allowed, must walk (and the player must walk).  All spectators must walk (NO SPECTATOR CARTS). Please contact the ASGA with any additional questions.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Open to male, amateur golfers who are individual members of the ASGA.  The minimum age is 16 and non-residents are not eligible, except a person may live in Texarkana, Texas but MUST be a member of Texarkana C.C. and an individual member of the ASGA.  Eligibility questions should be addressed to Jay Fox, ASGA Executive Director prior to entry: jay@asga.org or call 501-455-2742.

 

HANDICAP INDEX/DEADLINE: Amateur division - minimum age 16 with 8.0 or less; Mid-Senior – 35 and older with 8.0 or less; Senior – 50 & older with 12.0 or less; Super-Senior – 60 & older & Masters – 70 & older with 16.0 or less.  The entry deadline is July 23 or until the field is full.  Based on number of entries, there could be a minimum of six players imposed to have that particular division.

 

TEE MARKERS:  Amateurs (16 & older) will play the GOLD tee yardage, Mid-Seniors (35 & older) and Seniors (50 & older) will play the WHITE tee yardage; Super-Seniors (60 & older) and Masters Division (70 & older) will play the BLACK tee yardage.  More information will be sent to the players with the local rules and starting times.  The “yardage” of tee color could be a combination of tees & is “approximate.”

 

ENTRY FEE: $250 per player includes 1 SEAT ON A CART for all three tournament rounds, OR IF A PLAYER WANTS TO WALK – THE ENTRY FEE IS $175.

 

IF “WALKING” IS YOUR CHOICE, IT MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE TO CHANGE BECAUSE OF CART AVAILABILITY.  PLEASE CHECK APPROPRATE BOX ON FRONT and mail the correct entry fee.  On-line entrants at www.asga.org charged additional $10. 

 

SCHEDULE OF PLAY: 18 holes on Thursday, August 5 and Friday, August 6 in a “flip-flop” fashion.  The amateur division will play either early Friday/late Saturday or late Friday/early Saturday and all other divisions will be paired in a similar fashion.  Pairings will be based on cart availability with approximately 60 players in a “wave.” The field is cut approximately in half for final round, Saturday, August 7, in all five divisions.  In the event of inclement weather, the ASGA reserves the right to reduce this championship to 36 holes, with a cut after one round. Please note the size of the field is limited so enter early to guarantee a spot.  The first starting time could be 7:30 each day

 

PRACTICE ROUND: Available the week of competition for a “cart” fee.  Please note those living in the greater Little Rock area may be required to play other than Thursday, August 4 allowing the “out of towners” to play on August 4.  Information will be included with pairings/starting times.

 

TROPHIES/CERTIFICATES: The winner and runner-up in each division will receive individual trophies and the state amateur champion will be engraved on the E.B. Gee Trophy. Ties for 1st settled by playoff – all others split.  PVCC Pro Shop Gift Certificates will be awarded to the low finishers in each division.
