Register now for Maine Golf Volunteer Interest Form

Maine Golf is always on the lookout for volunteers. If you happen to have some free time during this golf season and are interested in volunteering, please fill out this registration form. This form will provide us with an idea of what volunteer opportunities you may be interested in. As events or opportunities arise, we will contact prospective volunteers to sign up for specific duties.

We have a variety of volunteer offerings. A brief description of each can be found below:

RULES OFFICIALS

Rules Officials are volunteers who recognize the importance of a championship whereby the players can obtain guidance on the course with rules questions. It is preferred that rules officials have attended a USGA seminar on the Rules of Golf.

COURSE MARSHALS

Marshals at a tournament site are assistants to the players and spectators whose job boils down to helping things run smoothly. Marshalls at Maine Golf events perform varied tasks on any given day, from spotting, helping with online scoring, assisting media, or any other tasks the tournament staff needs assistance with.

COURSE RATERS

Maine Golf provides Course Rating services to 10-20 clubs per year to ensure that the course is rated in accordance with the most recent USGA standards. An individual whose knowledge of rating or a desire to learn rating can help by accompanying a certified rater.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Maine Golf has numerous committees that meet through the year to help to steer the association in the right direction. Our committees include, but are not limited to, Finance, Tournaments, Scholarship and Junior Golf, and Marketing. Individuals with experience in any of these fields can volunteer and help the committees with their knowledge.
