Sunday, August 1st

11:30 a.m.—Lunch begins and practice facilities open 

1:30 p.m.-Shotgun start (Pairings attached and on portal)

--This is a 2 Best Ball of 4 (Gross/Net (gross bias)

5:30 p.m.--Cocktail party with cash bar.

 

Monday, August 2nd

7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.—Breakfast inside dining or patio. 
8:30 a.m.--Round 1 Begins First tee only (pairings attached and on portal.)

11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.—Lunch inside dining or patio.

5:15 p.m. –Arrival for Ohio Golf Hall of Fame Ceremony/Dinner.  Drinks may be purchased at the bar

6:00 p.m.--Dinner served. 

7:00 p.m.--Ohio Golf Hall of Fame Ceremony begins.

 

Tuesday, August 3rd

7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.—Breakfast inside dining or patio.
8:00 a.m.--Round 2 Begins (#1 and #10 tee start)--pairings are according to Round 1 Gross Score.  

12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.—Lunch inside dining or patio.

At competition of Championship a short awards ceremony will take place on the back patio.  

 

FORMAT
Sunday is a 2 Best Ball of 4 gross and net.  Handicaps are at 85%.  Those players not playing on Monday and Tuesday will play the following tees based on their age.  64 or younger-Senior tees, 65-69-Super Senior tees and 70+--Super Senior+ tees.  Pairings for Sunday are attached and on event portal.  Handicaps as of July 30th will be used for Sunday.    

 

Monday and Tuesday
36-hole stroke play competition in three divisions, Senior, Super Senior and Super Senior +.  Gross and Net in each division.  The Overall winner will come from the Senior division.  The Overall Net trophy will be awarded to the lowest net score from any division.  Shop Credit will be awarded within the division only.  Handicaps as of July 30th will be used for Monday and Tuesday.  Handicaps will be at 95%.

 

Pairings for Round 1 on Monday, August 2nd are attached and can be found on the event portal. 

 

FLAGSTICK May be removed.  

 

BUNKERS Please rake bunkers.  Play the ball as it lies.  

 

REGISTRATION
Registration tent will be setup on Sunday for those playing.

Registration on Monday will not be setup, but you will get your bag tag on your starting hole.

Carts will be staged with your name on them each day.  Please refer to this material for all information.  

 

PLAYOFF
In the event of a tie after 36 holes in the Senior division a hole by hole playoff will be used to determine a winner.  All other divisions will split pro shop credit equally.   

 

DRIVERS/GOLF BALLS
The Local Rule for Conforming Driver Heads is in effect, see Model Local Rule G-1.  The Local Rule requiring that all golf balls used be on the List of Conforming Golf Balls is in effect.  See Model Local Rule G-3.  Please check the USGA website, www.usga.org, for a list of approved golf balls and drivers.  See Model Local Rule G-4.

 

GROOVES
The players clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010.  See Model Local Rule G-2.  “The exception for Ping Eye 2 Irons manufactured before 31 March 1990 is not in effect”

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
The Rules of Golf allow DMD's if no other features are turned on. 

 

PRACTICE FACILITIES
Will open at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, 7:30 a.m. on Monday and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday.  

 

CARTS
Pull/Push carts are permitted.  Carts are included in entry fee.    

 

CADDIES
Players may employ a caddie but are NOT required to.  A player who has or will play in the same round, is not permitted to caddie in that round.  

 

CODE OF CONDUCT
Ohio Golf Association expects all players to respect one another, the game and the host facility and their members at all times.  

 

PERSONAL APPEARANCE
Contestants and caddies must be neat in appearance.  No denim.  No cargo pants or cargo shorts.  Shirts must have collars. 

 

GREEN READING MATERIAL
Previous years yardage books that have green reading information may not meet the proper scaling.
