Tournament Details
Vancouver Golf Tour is proud to launch the 2021 Me-n-Ed’s Golden Eagle Open on June 26 & 27th, 2021!! This year’s event is set to host 140 Amateur and 40 Professional Golfers ready to take on the rigors of Golden Eagle Golf Club North Course over 36 Holes of Championship Golf!
The field will be limited to 40 Professionals and 140 Amateurs with the Me-n-Ed’s Golden Eagle Open trophy being awarded to the Champion! The Me-n-Ed’s Golden Eagle Open Champion will have the honor of having his or her name etched as the 2nd Only Champion on this trophy, along with 3,000 points on the SRIXON / CLEVELAND Order of Merit Standings! This event will be used as a qualifying event for the 2021 Sani Marc Canada Cup & the 2021 Gatekeeper Series Finals.
Both male and female Professionals & Amateur Golfers are welcome with a registered Golf Canada handicap factor of 18.0 or less. This year’s tournament will have both a Men’s and Women’s Championship in the Professional and Amateur Division and a Senior Division for Amateurs 55 years of age or older.
All players will receive lunch both days, including some Me-n-Ed’s Pizza on the patio on Saturday afternoon. Pros will compete for a $11,000 Total Purse and Amateurs will receive some wonderful welcome gifts and prize table all totalling over $11,000!!
2021 SANI MARC CANADA CUP QUALIFIER
This event is a qualifying event for the SANI MARC CANADA CUP in Victoriaville, Quebec on Aug.12-15th. The top 2 Professionals in this event will earn an exemption into the 2021 CANADA CUP with the winner of the event having their flight being paid for. A total of 10 VGT Professionals and one Amateur will earn an exemption into the 2021 CANADA CUP as follows:
* Pro Winner - Hughes Trucking Open - June 14th @ Pitt Meadows GC
* Top 2 Pros - Golden Eagle Open - June 25-26th @ Golden Eagle GC (winner has flight paid for)
* Top 2 Pros - Traveland RV Ledgeview Open - July 3-4th (Pro winner has flight paid for)
* Pro Winner - Chilliwack Open - July 10-11th (winner has flight paid for)
* Pro Winner - Meadow Gardens Open - July 17-18th (winner has flight paid for)
* Points will be collected from these 5 qualifying events. The Top 1 Amateur & the Top 3 Pros not already earning an exemption from a win or 2nd place finish will earn an exemption into the 2021 CANADA CUP. The top Amateur will have their flight paid for.
**The Pro earning the most points from this 5-event series will have their flight + entry to the 2021 CANADA CUP paid for!
GATEKEEPER SERIES FINALS QUALIFIER
Points earned from this event will count towards the 6-event Gatekeeper Challenge Series to earn a spot in the GATEKEEPER SERIES FINALS in October (date TBC). These top 6 Pros will play for a $5,000 PRO PURSE.

Eligibility
The event is open to Professional Golfers and to Amateur Golfers with a valid Golf Canada (Gold version) or USGA handicap factor of 18.0 or less.
Priority Entry
Amateurs:
Priority entry is given to current 2021 VGT Members in good standing until the registration deadline of Saturday, June 12th at 6pm. If the event is not full with members as of June 12th, non-members will be admitted into the field based on the date of their entry fee being confirmed.
Professionals:
The top 20 VGT Professionals* on the 2021 Order of Merit as of May 22nd will have their entry to the Me-n-Ed’s Invitational guaranteed until June 1st. Those VGT Professionals not in the top 20 have priority entry over non-members until the deadline of June 12th, 2021 (or until the event is full, whichever comes first).
Non-Member Pros will be admitted into the field on June 13th if the Pro field is not filled with VGT Members.

Registration Deadline
Saturday, June 12th, 2021 at 6pm PST or when event is full (whichever comes first). Players are reminded to review the Policies and Procedures of VGT outlining all cancellation and no-show fees HERE.

Morning Wave: 7am-9am off 1st and 10th tees
PM Wave: 12pm – 2:00pm off 1st and 10th tees
Leaders will tee-off last on Sunday off 1st tee.
Official Practice Round & Booking Procedure:
All VGT Amateurs and non-PGA Pros are being offered practice round rates at 20% off posted green fee rates between June 19-25th, 2021. Players are asked to use the code VGT20 for 20% off the regular green fee prices. Players must show their 2021 VGT Membership card upon check-in.

PROGRESSIVE HOLE-IN-ONE JACKPOT RULES
- In order to qualify for the Hole-in-one (H.I.O) JACKPOT offered at a VGT event, a player must be entered into the $20 skins game/hole-in-one pot for that event. If there is no winner of the hole-in-one at VGT event, the current hole-in-one pot will carry over to the next event until we have a winner of the jackpot.
- If the jackpot accumulates to $5,000, it will be cut-off at $5,000 and the first eligible person (see above) to score a hole-in-one on an eligible jackpot hole will receive the $5,000 payout. If we have a winner of the 1st $5,000 Jackpot, then then the eligible person to score a hole-in-one in the event would win the 2nd $5,000 Prize. Any additional hole-in-ones at this event would not qualify for prizing since both prizes would have been won already.
- Due to the skill difference of Pros versus the Amateurs in the field, we level the playing field for the JACKPOT two ways:
- By allowing the A & B amateurs to tee-off a shorter designated tee-box at various times compared to Professionals and Championship Amateurs.
- VGT hosts numerous Amateur only events where Amateurs have a chance to win the JACKPOT without Pros in the field.
