There are a few items you will be required to do prior to the Playing Ability Test

 

  1. You are required to complete the COVID-19 Waiver prior to the PAT.  If it is not completed you will not be permitted to play.

 

  1. You are required to read ALL COVID-19 Protocols
     
  2. Prior to arriving at the tee to check-in please be sure you have your ID as proof of identification is required.

DRIVING RANGE

Range balls are not included, they can be purchased in the golf shop upon arrival for $7 (small), or $10 (large).

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Practice rounds are available at regular prices as listed at www.golfmillrun.com

 

CARTS AND ON-COURSE EQUIPMENT

  • Carts are not included.  Players must adhere to the host facility cart rules.
  • $20 per person.

 

TARGET SCORES

 

Male Applicants – Blue Tees (Grist/Wheel)

Male < 49 years old – course rating plus     9    
Male > 50 years old – course rating plus    11

Male <49 – Rating 70.3, 6256 Yards - Target Score = 79
Male >50 – Rating 70.3, 6256 Yards - Target Score = 81

Female Applicants – Red Tees (Grist/Wheel)

Female < 49 years old – course rating plus 13
Female > 50 years old – course rating plus 15

Female <49 – Rating 69.7, 5342 Yards - Target Score = 83
Female >50 – Rating 69.7, 5342 Yards - Target Score = 85

 

PROTECTING YOURSELF AND OTHERS

  • Stay home if:
    • You are feeling unwell,
    • You have traveled outside Canada within the past 14 days,
    • You have a new or worsening cough or fever,
    • You have been advised by a medical professional to self-isolate.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • Practice respiratory etiquette, including coughing and sneezing into your arm. Dispose of tissues immediately into trash receptacles.

 

SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES will be in place all day and MUST be practiced.

  • No handshaking or elbow bumping is permitted.
  • Maintain at least six feet of separation from everyone at all times
  • Please bring your own hand sanitizer and use as often as you can, especially before and after using any washrooms.
  • Maintain a safe distance while handing goods and making transactions.
  • Limits to the number of people allowed in the same area will be imposed.

 

CHECK-IN WITH TOURNAMENT CONVENOR

Players are asked to check-in at the tee, while maintaining physical distance.

 

BUNKERS

  • Bunker rakes, benches and ball washers have been removed from the course.
  • No rakes are in the bunkers so please repair your footprints by using your feet.  If a player’s ball ends up in a footprint or unmaintained area of the bunker, they are entitled to mark, lift and place within 6″ no closer to the hole.  If a player’s ball is originally plugged in an unmaintained area of the bunker, they must re-plug the ball within 6″ no closer to the hole.

 

FLAGSTICKS

  • Removing the flagsticks will be permitted.

 

CADDIES

  • Caddies are permitted. All caddies are required to complete a COVID-19 waiver.

 

SPECTATORS

  • Spectators are not permitted at this time.

 

DRESS CODE

Competitors must adhere to the PGA of Ontario Dress Code which is also available in the competitor registration package.

 

THE USE OF CONTRABAND SUBSTANCES AND THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL DURING COMPETITION

The use of contraband substances and the consumption of alcohol during the course of play of a PGA of Ontario Playing Ability Test and/or Tournament event is strictly prohibited.  Any player found in breach of this rule will be deemed to have conducted themselves in a manner unbecoming of a Member of our Association and will face a penalty set forth by the Tournament Committee

 

MEASURING DEVICES

A player may obtain distance information by using a device that:  MEASURES DISTANCE ONLY
However, if a distance measuring device has additional functionality that can gauge or measure other conditions that might affect a player’s play (e.g. elevation change, wind speed, etc.), the use of any such additional function would be a breach of Rule 4.3a.

 

ELECTRONIC AUDIO OR VIDEO DEVICES

During a round, a player must not listen to or watch content of any nature on a personal audio or video device. Rule 4.3

  • Penalty for first breach from single act or related acts: Two Strokes
  • Penalty for second breach unrelated to first breach: Disqualification

HOST CLUB COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

 

Mill Run arrival Instructions

  • Do not arrive any earlier than 30 minutes before your tee time.
  • Range balls can be purchased from the golf shop upon arrival.
  • Please check-in with bag drop and starter at least 10 minutes before your tee time.
  • Masks are required when entering any indoor facilities on the property.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at all entrances, please use it when you enter the clubhouse.

 

Cart Information

  • Players will not be asked to ride with other golfers in their group
  • Carts will not be allowed access to the parking lot until after the completion of your round.

 

Washroom Information

  • Washrooms are available in the main clubhouse by entering the locker room hallway.
  • On course washrooms are also available for use at anytime.
  • Masks must be worn inside any buildings at all times.

 

Clubhouse Access Information

  • Masks are required at all times when inside our facilities.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at each entrance for you to use when entering/exiting the building.
  • Access to the clubhouse is limited to the golf shop and restaurant areas only.

 

Golf Shop Services/Purchases

  • The golf shop is open for purchases for range balls, power carts, and other daily needs.
  • All payment types are accepted.
  • The golf shop is available for shopping only and you must follow the flow of traffic labelled on the floor (you cannot hang around inside).

 

Food and Beverage Access Information

  • Food and beverage is open on a limited basis with outdoor dining or take-out only available.
  • Masks must be worn until seated at an outside dining table after giving F&B staff your contact information.
  •  There are no water stations available on the course, but F&B carts are available for purchases on the golf course.
