Note: Masks are required in and around the clubhouse area at The Reserve at Spanos Park Golf Course, or any circumstance where it is not possible to maintain social distancing.

 

Format:

One 18-hole stipulated round of stroke play.  Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The Six (6) low individual scores will advance to the U.S. Girl’s Junior Championship at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland on July 12-17, 2021. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

Competition Schedule:                               

Starting times will start at 7:30am off holes #1 and #10. Please check the pairings listing for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:                      

Practice rounds are available for players and family.  Please call the golf shop in advance to book your time. The junior rate is $20 (Walking) $35 (Riding with Adult) Monday-Friday, and $35 (Walking) $40 (Riding with Adult) on Saturday-Sunday. They do accept YOC rates after 2 P.M.  The adults will pay the going rate. 

 

Cart Information: 

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk. Pull-carts are permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS MUST BE APPROVED THROUGH THE USGA.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted in the qualifying with some exceptions (see also Additional Rules Information below). However, caddies are NOT available from The Reserve at Spanos Park Golf Course.

 

Practice Balls:

Will be provided for players prior to the competition round at no cost. The pro shop and practice range will open at 6:30am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise.

 

Payment Information:

Cash, VISA and Mastercard are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).

 

Food and Beverage Information: The restaurant will be open at 6:30 AM and throughout the day. No outside food and beverage is permitted.

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2400 for a refund prior to June 14, 2021.   

 

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:  

The Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2019 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2021 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the terms of the competition.

 

Caddies:  

Rule 10.3 is modified in this way: A player may not use a parent, step-parent, or guardian as a caddie during Sectional Qualifying or the Championship proper. Model Local Rule H-1.2. Penalty for Breach: General Penalty.

 

Driver Heads: 

Only brands of golf balls on the most current List of Conforming Golf Balls and driver heads on the most current List of Conforming Driver Heads may be used. Updated lists may be found on the USGA website at www.usga.org or by contacting the USGA Equipment Standards Department at (908) 234-2300. See Model Local Rules G-1 and G-3.

 

One Ball Rule:  

The one ball Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. See Model Local Rule G-4.

 

Transportation:  The Local Rule prohibiting the use of motorized transportation as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect.

 

Prohibition on Certain Types of Shoes:  The Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-7.

 

Clubs: Grooves:  The Local Rule as prescribed by Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect, except that the Exception in the Model Local Rule does not apply (see Model Local Rule G-2).
