  Whether you’re a scratch golfer or a first-time player we welcome all golfing abilities. This tournament is all about having

  fun on and off the course and bragging rights to see who wins the PRO-AM Team Title!!!

 

  From the practice range to the practice green, spend your day with one of Canada’s rising young stars as they prepare to   

  play in the Vancouver Open Championship and work their way towards the PGA TOUR!!

 

   PRO-AM FORMAT:


    Your team of four Amateurs will play with a top VGT or PGA TOUR Canada Professional for 18 holes to raise funds for the   

   local Professional and Amateur Golfers, and for the FIRST TEE PROGRAM (BC). 

 

TEAM FORMAT:  TEAM SHAMBLE  

  • All players will take their drives from the tee. 
  • Teams will select the best shot and play from within 1 club length of the chosen ball.
  • All amateurs will play their own ball out to the hole.. 
  • Pros will play their own ball out on all holes.
  • The best 2 net scores on each hole will count for the team total using 50% of handicaps. 
  • Amateurs must hit a minimum of 2 drives. 
  • All other holes are “open” to use the Pros drive or the best Amateur drive.
  • If you select a Pros drive on a Par 3 hole, the Pro must putt out first.

Foursome Entry:   $1,500 + GST

 

  Due to Covid-19 altering our format for the event, and making it more challenging to drive funds through the live auction   

  and 50/50 draw at the dinner, we are promoting a pre-purchase package called “THE PLAYERS PASS” and promoting   

  additional 50/50 ticket sales online so we can raise as much as possible for our VGT Player Development fund.

 

PLAYER’S PASS*: $50/player ($200/team)

EXTRA 50/50 DRAW TICKETS: $20/each, 3 for $50, 10 for $100 or 25 for $200.

    With your support of the event, we are looking to push our fundraising efforts to new heights.  Together we can impact the lives of many    

    young people through the fundraising efforts of the event.  Moneys raised will help provide playing and travelling opportunities for our   

    players, and educational programs for junior golfers that build character,  instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through   

    the game of golf. 

 

   Through after-school and in-school programs, the FIRST TEE Program helps shape the lives of young people from all walks of life.  By     

   reinforcing values like integrity, respect and perseverance through the game of golf, the FIRST TEE is making a difference.  Their research-     

   proven programs are having a positive impact on participants, their families and their communities. 

 

   This year’s event will have a second group of beneficiaries.  Our players.  The Pro-Am will raise funds to establish a VGT Player Bursary Fund.     The fund is being established to assist young, local golfers with entry fee and travel costs both on and off the VGT.

 

   Please join me at this year’s Charity Pro-Am, which kicks-off a great week of golf at the Vancouver Open.  This year’s event will be sure to

   be filled with some wonderful memories for you and your colleagues with one of our up-and-coming Tour Stars.  Let’s come together on 

   August 18th and show our support for children's health and well being through this great game of golf!

MAUI JIM CHARITY PRO-AM PRIORITY ENTRY

 

PROFFESSIONALS

VGT will send invitations out to Professionals through golf genius for this event. There is a guaranteed $5,000 purse up for grabs. 

Professionals who bring a fully paid team to the Pro-Am will have their entry fee waived for the Pro-Am.

 

AMATEUR TEAMS

 

ALL 2020 PRO-AM teams will be invited back to play in the 2020 Pro-Am. These teams will have priority entry until July 15th.  After this time, if there are any team spots available, teams on the pending list will be admitted into the event in order of their team entry being received.
