Directions to The Preserve Golf Club (Do not Use GPS/Avoid Robinson Canyon Road):

Follow Rancho San Carlos for approximately 8.5 miles.

Make a left onto Pronghorn Run 1 mile.

You will come to a gate that opens automatically, cross the road and you will approach a second gate.

Use the down arrow to highlight golf club.

Press call and the pro shop will answer to let you through.

Make a left at the drive way which is approximately 200 yards past gate.

 

 

PLEASE REVIEW: NCGA’s Playing It Safe Protocols

All players, caddies, spectators must provide proof of vaccination prior to entering the property.

 

Format:                                                         

One 18-hole round of four-ball stroke play.  Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low 2 team scores will advance to the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at the Country Club of Birmingham (West and East Courses) in Birmingham, Alabama. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:                               

Starting times will start at 9:00am off of #1 and #10. A shuttle will be provided to the 10th tee. Be prepared to leave from the driving range 15 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:                      

Please contact the golf shop to arrange a practice round.  Practice rounds will be available after 12:00 PM.  Greens fees are $150 with cart. Credit cards and reciprocal are accepted.   

 

Cell Phones:

AT&T is the only cell service provider that works on property. Cell phones are permitted in the Golf Clubhouse Office and Parking Lot only.

 

NO SMOKING POLICY:

Due to the Extreme Fire Danger, No Smoking while on the Golf Course.

 

Dress Code:

Men are required to tuck in their collared shirts. Cargo shorts are not permitted. Men are required to remove their hats when entering the building. Shorts, skirts or skorts are not to be more than 2" above the knee.

 

Spectators Information: 

Spectators are welcome to attend this event. Spectators must provide proof of vaccination prior to entering the property. The player must contact the golf shop in advance to notify them of any spectators coming to the course. All spectators must have their name at the Gatehouse prior to attending. Spectators must adhere to the dress code listed within this document and must walk. If spectators have any questions leading up to the event, please contact the NCGA at (831) 625-4653.

 

Cart Information:                                        

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk during qualifying. Pull-carts are permitted.

SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:                                                        

Caddies are permitted. Caddies must provide proof of vaccination prior to entering the property. Caddies must follow the dress code as outlined in this document. The Preserve has a limited number of caddies available. Please contact the Pro Shop to reserve a caddie. 

 

Practice Balls:                                                                   

The range will open at 8 AM.

 

Payment Information:                                

Credit Cards only for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).

 

Food and Beverage Information:               

The restaurant will be open starting at 8:00am with limited items available.

 

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION 

 

Rules Information:                                       

The Rules of Golf effective January 2019 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2021 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Distance Measuring Devices: The use of a conforming distance measuring device, as prescribed in Rule 4.3, is permitted.

 

Driver Heads:                                                                   

Only brands of golf balls on the most current List of Conforming Golf Balls and driver heads on the most current List of

Conforming Driver Heads may be used. Updated lists may be found on the USGA website at www.usga.org or by

contacting the USGA Equipment Standards Department at (908) 234-2300. See Model Local Rules G-1 and G-3.

 

Automotive Transportation:                                      

The Local Rule prohibiting the use of motorized transportation as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures

Is in effect.

 

Prohibition on Certain Types of Shoes:                 

The Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-7.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:

The one ball Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. See Model Local Rule G-4.

   

Grooves Condition:

The Local Rule as prescribed by Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect, except that the Exception in the Model Local Rule does not apply.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
