2021 Tufts Archives Hickory Pro-Am

Since 1895, Pinehurst and Championship Golf have been synonymous.  Pinehurst held its first marquee event in 1901, The North and South Amateur, today a staple in competitive amateur golf. Subsequently Pinehurst has had the privilege to host the PGA Championship (1936), US Amateur (1962 and 2008), Men’s US Open (1999, 2004, 2014) and the Women’s US Open (2014).  Now, you will have the opportunity to play where the greats have played.

 

 

Entry Fee: Includes - golf fees, cart, range, prizes, luncheon, rental hickory golf equipment provided if needed (percentage of purse donated to Tufts Archives).

$125 - Amateurs 

$100 - Carolina Hickory Golf Association, Society of Hickory Golfers, Pinehurst Country Club Members, Professionals. (Professionals are requested to bring at least one donated item for a raffle item to benefit the Tufts Archives.)

 

Payment will be collected on site (Cash, Credit Card or Checks made payable to Given Memorial Library)

 

This event will follow the Society of Hickory Golfers and Carolinas PGA Section tournament regulations.


Trophies will be awarded to the winning team following play.

 

Professionals may bring 0-3 amateurs to complete their team. Otherwise, you will be placed on a team.

 

Equipment: Pre-1935 woods, original hickory irons, original hickory putters or reproductions – following the approved guidelines established by the Society of Hickory Golfers. (www.hickorygolfers.com)

 

Handicap: Society of Hickory Golf and/or USGA Index

 

Format: 1 best ball gross plus 1 best ball net (2 different balls)
