Saturday, October 23, 2021

 

             9:30 AM            All Teams (including alternates) to assemble at practice putting green for Team photo

             10:30 AM          Championship play starts with tee times at 10-minute intervals (NCGA Tees)

             4:00 PM             Taco Bar provided by NCGA to all players and alternates

 

Sunday, October 24, 2021

 

             10:30 AM          Championship play starts with tee times at 10-minute intervals (NCGA Tees)

             5:15 PM            Championship Awards Presentation

FORMAT

 

Play will be conducted in the same manner as all regular season play, using the Monday, October 18th, 2021 current numeric index. In the event of a tie at the end of a round, there will be a play-off involving only the #1 Two-Man Team from each club. If a “sudden death” play-off cannot begin or be concluded due to unplayable conditions, the Committee shall, under equity (Rule 20.3), declare co-champions.

PRACTICE ROUNDS – CONTESTANTS ONLY

PLAYER CART INFORMATION

 

Practice Round: A maximum of two carts per group allowed. GUEST OR NON-COMPETITOR CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

 

Championship Rounds: Each team is entitled to one cart per group. A maximum of two carts per group allowed. GUEST OR NON-COMPETITOR CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

 

 

PULL OR PUSH CARTS

 

Pull or push carts are permitted; the club has a limited number for rent.

 

 

CADDIES

 

Caddies are not permitted. (Team Match Rule 13b)

 

 

PAYMENT INFORMATION

 

VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage). Cash is not accepted at this time.

 

 

DRIVING RANGE

 

Provided for players prior to competition rounds at no cost. Contestants will have access to the practice area 30 minutes prior to their round for 10 minutes of warmup and 10 minutes on the practice putting green. 

 

 

TEES AND YARDAGES

 

Men will play from the WHITE NCGA tee markers and women will play from the RED NCGA tee markers. However, if Team Captains MUTUALLY AGREE PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE MATCH, a different set of markers may be used for select groups. Please refer to Hole-by-Hole Championship Yardage.

 

 

DRESS CODE

 

Players must be properly attired in golf shirts, slacks, Bermuda-length dress or golf shorts and soft spike shoes. Jeans (any color or any kind), T-shirts and tank tops will not be permitted.  Shirts must be tucked and hats are to be worn forward at all times. 

 

 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE (PLAYERS ONLY)

 

A hosted taco bar will be available on Saturday for players served on the deck area of the restaurant from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM.

 

NOTE: Food and beverage may be purchased from the available dining facilities during the practice round.  Only credit cards will be accepted (please no cash). 

 

 

PLAYER GUEST INFORMATION

 

Guests must adhere to the dress code listed within this document and must walk. NO CARTS will be available for player guests.

 

 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE (PLAYER GUESTS)

 

Guests may purchase food and beverage items from the snack bar. Credit cards only are accepted for all purchases.

 

 

RULES OF PLAY

 

The championship involves both Four-Ball and Individual Match Play. Because of this, certain special rules apply and are covered in the 2021 NCGA Team Match Rules of Play.

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

 

When playing in NCGA Championships, the player understands that his/her participation is at the sole discretion of the NCGA.  A player may be removed from any competition at the discretion of the NCGA staff or Rules and Competitions Committee at any time before or during the competition.  Incidents of unbecoming conduct or actions deemed to be detrimental to the image of the NCGA or the “Spirit of the Game” are grounds for such removal and suspension from future NCGA competitions.  These include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Willful damage of the golf course or golf course property
  • Club throwing or unnecessary club tossing
  • Offensive or unbecoming language
  • Public criticism of golf course or verbal abuse of NCGA/SCGA staff, officials, volunteers, host club staff or other contestants
  • Potential endangerment of others
  • Conduct deemed unbecoming
  • Failure to post scores for handicapping purposes
  • Manipulation of scores posted for handicapping purposes
