Numark Classic Rules

The competition is open to NUMARK members only.  NUMARK and PHOENIX employees are also eligible, as agreed by the organisers, as guests but not to compete to qualify for the final.  Additional guests may be invited to the regional qualifying events, as agreed by the organisers, but will not qualify for the final or prizes on the day.

Application to enter an event is by online registration only.  Completion of the online booking form does not guarantee a place.  The organiser will contact you in due course to confirm your place.

Players may only qualify for the final if competing at their nearest regional event.  This decision is made by the organisers based on the location of your Numark pharmacy.  Players wishing to play at other venues may be accepted, subject to availability, but may not be permitted to qualify for the final from that region.

In the event that too many applications are received for any regional venue, competitors will be selected on a first come, first served basis.

Unsuccessful entries will be notified as soon as possible.

The competition is Stableford, 95% of full handicap.  Maximum handicap is 28 for Ladies and 24 for Gentlemen.  Players with a higher handicap must play off this maximum allowable handicap.

Players must have a current CONGU certificate of handicap, signed by a bona fide golf club secretary and competitors will not be allowed to compete in the qualifying rounds unless they provide a copy of their current certificate of handicap prior to the day of play. Should the player be unable to produce his/her certificate of handicap, the organisers will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the competitor. If a player is allowed to play in the qualifiers without a CONGU handicap, they will not be allowed to compete for any prizes or qualify for the finals.

Current handicap certificates will also have to be produced in order for qualifiers to compete in the final and copies of these must be lodged with the organisers by 1st August this year.

Any person who brings a caddy to the qualifying rounds is responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the presence of that person and that person will not be permitted to play golf.

Competitors for the final will be selected on the scores gained in the regional events, but numbers qualifying from each regional event for the final will be made by the organisers of the competition and their decision in all matters will be final.  The organisers also reserve the right to refuse entry to the competition as they deem fit and no correspondence will be entered into on this matter.

Should there be insufficient entries to justify the booking of any venue, the organisers reserve the right to cancel that booking and offer competitors the opportunity of competing at the nearest alternative venue, assuming space is available.  No correspondence on this matter will be entered into.

It is required that finalists adhere strictly to the programme, a mandatory requirement of which is to attend the Gala Dinner on the final evening.

The organisers reserve the right to send away any person who in our judgment is found to be unmanageable or a danger to the safety or enjoyment of others.  In this event, no compensation will be made.

By entering the golf competition, the competitor agrees to any publicity that may ensue, including any time before, during play or afterwards on the day(s) of the competition (including the final) and that any photograph may be used unreservedly by the organiser and/or the sponsors of the competition, with or without the permission of those involved.  In the event that the competitor refuses to be photographed, whether or not for the purpose of publicity, they will be immediately excluded from the competition and asked to leave.

The organisers reserve the right to alter the rules of play at any time and these will be notified to players wherever possible on the day of the competition.

Any guest of NUMARK or PHOENIX who is invited to play by the organisers will not be eligible for any prizes or be able to qualify for the final.

All players must hold third party insurance (cover is often offered in household insurance policies).  Arrangements can, in most instances, be made with the club Professional, if required.  The organisers and sponsors will not be responsible for any claims arising from competitors taking part in the competition (or being excluded for any reason).

Any competitor playing on his/her own course will have their handicap reduced by one point.

Competitors selected for the final will be notified as soon as possible.

Finalists will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs unless the organisers decide otherwise. This will be confirmed at each qualifier by when the venue for the finals has been finalized.

The use of golf GPS range finders or measuring devices shall be allowed at the regional events and at the final if permitted by the venue.

All golfers will be bound by the Rules of Golf throughout the competition.

By entering the golf tournament, the competitor agrees to abide by all the rules at all times.
