VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

Practice Facility Attendee – Volunteers oversee practice areas by welcoming players and ensuring golf balls are ready at hitting stations. (Club House)

 

Grounds Volunteer – Volunteers oversee on-course coolers and refills as necessary, gather trash and change bags. May require the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. This position will use a golf cart to move around the course. (Active)

 

Marshals and Forecaddies – Volunteers will be assigned to specific areas on the course to assist players in locating errant shots. This is a stationary position in stroke play and will transition to a walking position later in match play. Shifts will be four (4) hours each; volunteers should sign up for at least three (3) shifts at any time throughout the Championship, if at all possible. (Active)

 

Caddie Shack – Volunteers will register Caddies; handing out and collecting Caddie bibs. Assist Caddies and answer questions. (Club House)

 

Medical – Volunteers will attend medical tent. Basic medical care knowledge is preferred. (Active)

 

Player Hospitality – Volunteers will oversee the Player locker room and lounge, assist players and answer questions. Oversee snacks and beverages and refill as necessary. Locker room must be manned at all times. Shifts will be four (4) hours each. (Club House)

 

Player Registration –Volunteers will check-in players and answer questions. Ensure all guests are welcomed warmly. July 27 and 28 only; four (4) hour shifts between 7 am and 4 pm. (Club House)

 

Standard Bearers – Volunteers will accompany matches and carry a sign displaying the status of the match. Volunteers will be required to walk 18 holes; shifts will be four (4) to five (5) hours. (Active)

 

Walking Scorers – Volunteers will accompany each group/match to enter scores on a hand-held device for live scoring purposes. Requires walking up to 18 holes. (Active)

 

Transportation and Traffic Control – Volunteers will oversee and manage the efficient flow of traffic and parking into the event parking areas. Requires walking most of the day. (Active)

 

Volunteer Check-in and Management – Volunteers will assist with the Volunteer check-in process, direct Volunteers to their assignments, and assist Volunteer management team in various activities. (Club House)

 

Floater – I will do anything! (Mostly Active, Some Club House)
