34th NJPGA/NJSGA Senior Open Championship

AMATEUR ENTRANT REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES:

Entry Fee:       $175.00 (includes player’s lunch on Tuesday). 
Entries Close:   May 19 @ 5pm

Late entries will NOT be accepted

ELIGIBILITY: 
Entries open to amateur golfers who meet ALL of the following:

- Entrant must possess UNQUESTIONABLE Amateur Status.

- Entrant must be age fifty (50) or above on May 31, 2022.

- Entrant meet ALL of these Handicap and Membership Requirements:

• Hold a USGA Handicap Index of 8.0 or less, as of the close of entries, at a NJSGA member club/course. Entrant must be listed on this club’s Handicap Roster.
• Maintain good standing and remain on the above Handicap Roster through the Championship proper.

-If entering from a public facility, or Club Without Real Estate, entrant must be a permanent resident of New Jersey. Proof of residency may be required.

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT: 
36-Holes, Stroke Play. Eighteen holes will be played on Tuesday, May 31 and Wednesday, June 1. After the conclusion of Round 1, the field will be cut to the low 40 scorers (plus ties). Remaining players will advance to Round 2. The Champion will be the player with the lowest 36-Hole aggregate score. The Championship field is limited to 132 players. In the event the championship is oversold, all entrants will be sorted by Handicap Index and the lowest will be added to the field until it is filled. The remaining players will be placed on a waitlist and added if a spot becomes available.

Transportation: Motorized transportation is permitted throughout this Championship.
Caddies: Permitted; a player may bring his own caddie – or if available, reserve a club caddie.
Pull/Push Carts: Refer to specific Notice to Players for host club’s policy.

FINAL DECISION REGARDING ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE NJSGA. THE NJSGA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT OR WITHDRAW AN ENTRY AT ANY TIME, BEFORE OR DURING A COMPETITION OR MODIFY THE CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM ANYTIME, IN ITS DISCRETION.
