72nd Massachusetts Women’s Stroke Play Championship for the Baker Trophy

The Ridge Club | Sandwich, MA | June 14-15, 2022

 

Entry Fee: $225.00

Entries Open: 3/8/2022 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 5/26/2022 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:
Entries are open to amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club not exceeding 18.0 (at the time of registration), or who have completed their handicap certification.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Competition will be 36 Holes at Stroke Play in two separate divisions.

Players must select either the Championship Division or Tournament Division at the time of registration.

 

Playing Handicap (net scores): will be calculated based on the June 9, 2022 Handicap Revision. Handicap Indexes used to determine a competitors Playing Handicap will not exceed 18.0.

 

Field:

The Championship Proper field is limited to 81 players. Entries will be selected in the order they are received (first come, first served).

 

Schedule:

Round 1 – June 14 (18 Holes)

Round 2 – June 15 (18 Holes)
***Any tie for first place (gross) in either Division will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Cart fee is included in entry fee for both rounds. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage:

A complimentary lunch and dinner will be provided for all competitors on June 14 (additional guests are welcome to dinner for a fee). Lunch will be provided for all competitors on June 15.

 

Starting Times:

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the entry close date.

 

Practice Rounds:

Practice rounds privileges are at the discretion of the qualifying site and championship proper host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

 

Prizes:

Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

 

Trophy:
Permanent Trophies engraved with low gross winners’ names.

Approx. Yardage (subject to change):
Championship Division – 5,700-6,000 yards
Tournament Division – 5,300-5,500 yards

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
