89th Massachusetts Girls' Junior Amateur Championship

Entry Fee:

$100.00 – Championship & Silver Division(s)

$60.00 – Junior-Mite Division

Entries Open: 5/10/2022 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 7/14/2022 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:
Entries are open to amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club. and who have reached their 14th birthday and will not reach their 19th birthday by midnight August 1, 2022.

 

Championship Division - Handicap Index of 10.1 or less (at the time of registration); have reached their 14th birthday by August 1, 2022 and cannot be 19 years old on or before August 2, 2022.

 

Silver Division - Handicap Index of 10.2 or more (at the time of registration); have reached their 14th birthday by August 1, 2022 and cannot be 19 years old on or before August 2, 2022.

 

Junior-Mite Division – Ages 13 & Under; cannot be 14 years old on or before August 1, 2022. 

***New in 2021 - the Junior-Junior and Mite Division will be combined into one division, golfers ages 13 & under.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Championship & Silver Division(s) - Competition will be 36 Holes at Stroke Play

Junior-Mite Division - Competition will be 18 Holes (9 holes each day) at Stroke Play

Field:

Championship & Silver Division(s) - limited to 75 players (combined).

Junior-Mite Division - limited to 30 players.

 

Entries will be selected in the order they are received (first come, first served).

 

Schedule:

Round 1 – August 1 (18 or 9 Holes)
Round 2 – August 2 (18 or 9 Holes)
***Any tie for first place, in either division, will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Players are not permitted to use caddies or automotive transportation.

 

Food & Beverage:

A complimentary luncheon will be provided for all competitors on all championship days.

 

Starting Times:

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the last qualifier.

 

Practice Rounds:

Practice round privileges are at the discretion of the qualifying site and championship proper host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

 

Prizes:

Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

 

Trophy:
Permanent Trophies engraved with name of champion in each division.
The Pippy O’Connor Most Improved Player Award will be recognized in all divisions.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
