The Vermont Amateur Championship

 

is a 72 hole stroke play event open to all Vermont amateurs.

The field is cut after 36 holes to the lowest 40 scores and ties who advance to the final day of championship play. The final day is 36 holes.

 

The McCullough Cup is awarded to the club with the four lowest gross scores from 2 days of competition.
McCullough Cup teams must be selected prior to the start of the Championship.

 

Local qualifying to determine the Championship field will be held for those players who are not exempt into the 2022 Championship.
The number of positions available at each site is determined by the number of entrants and lowest scores.*

 

There are four qualifiers scheduled for 2022:

 

Tuesday June 7, 2022 Rutland Country Club
Sunday June 12, 2022 Country Club of Barre
Sunday June 19, 2022 Neshobe Golf Club
Thursday June 23, 2022 Williston Golf Club

 

Entry Fee:

- Exempt players will pay an entry fee of $145.00

- Players who must qualify will be charged an entry fee of $75.00 to enter the qualifying site of their choice.
- All players who qualify to earn a spot in the Championship will be charged an additional $90.00 once entered in the Championship. The difference goes to cover the course costs at each qualifying site.

*The number of qualifiers advancing to the Championship from each qualifying site is

based on percentage of the total entries received.  For this reason NO LATE entries can be accepted.
