Terms of the Competition for 2022 Senior Series/Mid-Amateur Series events

 

Sprinkler Head Interference Near Putting Greens – The Model Local Rule F-5 as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect for all Senior Series/Mid-Amateur Series events.  If a ball lies in the general area and an immovable obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief as follows:  The ball must be lifted and dropped in the relief area that is (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a penalty area or on a putting green.

Immovable Obstructions  

  • Flower beds encircled by or directly adjacent to cart paths are treated as a part of the obstruction 
  • Stones, drains, and cart traffic posts adjacent to cart paths are treated as a part of the obstruction 
  • Parking lots, driveways, roads, buildings and shelters in the general area 


Playing Two Balls When Uncertain What to Do 

When a player is uncertain what to do or an official is not available, he or she may complete the hole with two balls and report to the committee for a ruling.  Rule 20.1c(3). 

 

Maximum Score 

All Senior Series/Mid-Amateur Series events have a maximum score per hole of nine (9) strokes.  Rule 21.2.
