71st Amateur Championship

Registration Fee: $150 per player
Registration Opens: May 16 at 7 a.m.
Registration Closes: June 16 at 11:59 p.m.
Eligibility: Open to male DSGA & GAP Member Club golfers with a Handicap Index of 6.0 or lower.
Field Size: 78 players
If oversubscribed, the lowest handicap indexes entered will fill the field based on the handicap indexes posted on entry close (June 16).
Format: 72-hole individual stroke play, three-day event. All players will play 18 holes on Day One and Day Two. The low 36 scores and ties will advance to Day Three when the final two rounds will be played.
Ties: Ties for the Championship will be decided by a three (3)-hole aggregate playoff (Holes 1, 6 and 18). If there is still a tie, the playoff will continue in a sudden death format.
Carts & Caddies: Cart fees are included in the entry fee. Players may bring a caddie for any round of the championship. During Rounds 3 and 4 each player will have their own cart.
Event Schedule & Starting Times
Day 1: Tee times beginning at 7:45 a.m. off Hole 1, groups of 3
Day 2: Tee times based on Day 1 scores beginning at 7:45 a.m. off Hole 1 - Leaders first, groups of 3
Field cut to the low 36 scores and ties
Day 3: Round 3: Tee times based on score beginning at 8:00 a.m. off Hole 1 - Leaders last, groups of 2
All players will have a break between rounds of approximately 45 minutes (lunch provided for players)
Round 4: Tee times based on score beginning at approximately 12:45 p.m. off Hole 1 - Leaders last, groups of 2
Practice Rounds: Registered players will have the opportunity to book one practice round for a rate of $70 on June 21, 22 or 23rd after 12 p.m. by calling the Bayside Resort Golf Shop at (302) 436-3400
