2022 RDGA Two Person Alternate Shot

START TIMES: All players tee off No.1 & 10 from 7:30 am - 9:10 am and again from 12:10 pm - 1:30 pm
ENTRY FEE: $200 / two-person team
FIELD SIZE: 160 players; 80 two-person teams

RDGA HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDANCE for 2022: The RDGA is continuing to promote a safe and healthy environment at each of our tournaments, reminding all golfers to take the necessary precautions and not play if showing any symptoms or if previously exposed to COVID-19 within the prior 7 days. We also recommend following the most up-to-date COVID-19 guidance from New York State, including the points outlined at coronavirus.health.ny.gov. CLICK HERE for more information. In accordance with these guidelines, the RDGA will NOT be requiring players to sign a COVID waiver form prior to each 2022 RDGA Tournament.
FORMAT: The RDGA Two Person Alternate Shot tournament will include two-person teams, with both players hitting tee shots on every hole, then selecting one ball and alternating until holed. The event will feature 4 separate divisions: Men's Championship (Black Tees, played at scratch), Men's Senior (White Tees, with Gross and Net competitions), Men's Regular (White Tees, with Gross and Net competitions) and Women's (Green / Yellow Tees, with Gross and Net competitions). Junior players are eligible to participate in any flight except senior.
With RDGA District Championship exemptions being given to the top two teams (and ties) in the Men's Championship Division and the first place team (including ties) in the Men's Senior Division (Gross Score results), this will be an opportunity for RDGA players to qualify for the 2023 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial!
ABOUT: The RDGA Two Person Alternate Shot is open to ALL amateur golfers - men and women, and juniors - with an active GHIN® Handicap Index® through a Rochester District Golf Association Member Club. If you've never played in an actual golf tournament before - or if you are a seasoned veteran - this is a fun way to enjoy the RDGA tournament experience!
