RDGA HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDANCE for 2022: The RDGA is continuing to promote a safe and healthy environment at each of our tournaments, reminding all golfers to take the necessary precautions and not play if showing any symptoms or if previously exposed to COVID-19 within the prior 7 days. We also recommend following the most up-to-date COVID-19 guidance from New York State, including the points outlined at coronavirus.health.ny.gov. CLICK HERE for more information. In accordance with these guidelines, the RDGA will NOT be requiring players to sign a COVID waiver form prior to each 2022 RDGA Tournament.

FORMATThe RDGA Women's Championship is open to female members of the RDGA with active GHIN Handicaps of 25 or lower (as of 7/31/2022) and will consist of 36 holes of stroke play competition over both days of the event. Players will compete from the Eagle Vale Women's Green Tees, at approximately 5,794 yards, with prizes awarded the Top 3 finishers. Tie for first will result in a sudden death playoff to determine the champion. The final round of this Championship will run concurrently with the annual RDGA Women's Open on Monday, August 8, with Championship players teeing off ahead of the shotgun start for the Women's Open.

ABOUT: The winner of the 2022 RDGA Women's Championship will receive the Danielle E. Downey Memorial Trophy, traditionally presented to the winner of the RDGA Women's Championship since 2014. Named in honor of the late Danielle Downey, who grew up in the local junior and amateur ranks to play collegiately - and eventually on the LPGA Tour - the RDGA Women's Championship is a special honor to her memory.

If you have not played in an RDGA tournament since 2017, please make sure to create a player profile before registering by clicking HERE or choosing the "Sign In/Register" option in the top right corner of this portal.
