ENTRY FEE

$170 per player.

• $80 for qualifying.
• $90 to advance to championship.

 

FORMAT

18-hole stroke-play qualifying round on Day 1. The top 32 players from the Senior Division and the top 16 players from Super-Senior Division will advance to the match play portion of the Championship.  Seeding will be determined by the Stroke Play Qualifying Round. 

(This is separate from the regional qualifier which is required to advance to the championship site at Mountain Dell)

 

FIELD SIZE

Senior - 48 Players, Super-Senior - 24 Players.

 

ELIGIBILITY

All UGA members who are 50 years of age or older as of the first day of the match play competition are eligible to compete.  Players who wish to compete in the Super-Senior Division must be 65 years of age or older as of the first day of the match play competition.

 

REGISTRATION FOR CHAMPIONSHIP PROPER

If you qualify for the Championship, then your card will automatically be charged $90, and you will be placed in the Championship field.  You no longer will need to register for the Championship once you qualify.  The deadline to withdraw and receive a full refund minus a $20 administration fee will be August 16th at 4:00pm.  Any withdrawal after that deadline and before the first day of the Championship will receive a 50% refund

 

STARTING TIMES

Starting times will be e-mailed to players after the registration deadline has passed.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

The UGA will be providing a complimentary practice round at Mountain Dell Golf Course.  You may call the golf shop to make a tee time.  Complimentary practice rounds will be available on a date to be determined.  If a player chooses to play a practice round outside of that window, they will be responsible for the practice round fees.  Complimentary practice rounds will include cart and range fees.

 

FLIGHT INFORMATION 

The tournament will have a Championship Division (age 50+, gross only), a Super-Senior Division (age 65+, gross only).

Day 1 (AM) – Stroke Play Qualifying Round

Day 2 (AM) -  Round of 32 (Senior); Round of 16 (Super-Senior)
Day 2 (PM) – Round of 16 (Senior Division Only)
Day 3 (AM) – Quarter-Finals (Senior & Super Senior)
Day 3 (PM) – Semi-Finals (Senior & Super Senior) 
Day 4 (AM) – Finals (Senior & Super Senior)

 

REFUNDS AND WITHDRAWALS

If a player withdraws prior to the registration deadline the player will receive a refund minus a $20 cancellation fee.  After the deadline, the player will receive a 50% refund.  No refunds will be issued if a player withdraws/no-shows on the day of the event. A business day starts at 12:01 am of that day.  In team competitions, if a player needs a substitute for his original partner after the field has closed; he must arrange to get the substitute. Any substitute must meet all eligibility requirements of the specified competition. The UGA must be notified of any substitutions prior to the start of the tournament.
