Junior Open 36-hole Scratch & Handicap Medal

Entry Criteria 

 

QUALIFICATION FOR ENTRY

The Competition is open to Boys and Girls who are under the age of 18 on the 1st January 2022.

The lowest 60 handicaps will be accepted and the maximum handicap index is 24.

CLOSING DATE

Closing date for entries is Wednesday 13th July 2022.

No refunds will be made once the draw has been made.

COMPETITION

36 hole Scratch and Handicap Medal on the High Course.

PRIZES

The Hertfordshire Junior Stag trophies for both, scratch and handicap, will be held for one year by the players who return the lowest scratch and handicap 36-hole scores. All ties will be decided over the last 18, 9, etc.

Scratch and Handicap voucher prizes will be awarded to 1st AM, PM and 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall.  

ENTRY FEE

The entry fee of £45.00 will include Bacon Roll and a Packed Lunch.

RULES

The competition will be played in accordance with the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and in conjunction with the local rules of Moor Park Golf Club. Caddies will not be allowed.

Starting times and Club dress rules will be emailed to all competitors and will be available on the Club’s Website. Jacket and ties will not be required for lunch, but competitors are requested to wear a Jacket and Tie for the High Tea and Prize Presentation. Girls are requested to bring a change of clothes. Decision of the Tournament Committee will be final in the event of any dispute.

(Located on the first floor of the Mansion)

 

1:30pm - 2:30pm

Additional Information

Please take note of the Dress Code (available on the website). Anyone who arrives with clothing not conforming to our Club rules, will not be allowed to play in the Competition.

Please report to our Starter at least 5 minutes prior to your tee-off time; those starting from the 9th tee on the HIGH should allow 10 minutes for the walk to the tee.

Pace of play is an important part of the day and all players are expected to complete the 18 holes on the HIGH course in no more than 4 hours please.

Golfers are required to change for the prize presentation. Jacket and tie for Boys and equivalent for Girls.
