75th Massachusetts Women’s Senior Amateur Championship

Entry Fee:

$175.00 - Division 1

$100.00 - Division 2

 

Entries Open: 5/10/2022 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 8/4/2022 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:
Entries are open to amateur golfers who have reached their 50th birthday by August 22, 2022 and who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club.

Division 1 - not exceeding 18.0 (as determined by the August 4, 2022 Handicap Revision), or who have completed their handicap certification.

Division 2 - between 18.1 and 36.0 (as determined by the August 4, 2022 Handicap Revision), or who have completed their handicap certification.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Division 1 - NEW in 2022 - Competition will be 36 Holes at Stroke Play; a cut to the low 50 & ties will be made after 18 Holes

Division 2 - Competition will be 18 Holes at Stroke Play

Playing Handicap (net scores): will be calculated based on the August 4, 2022 Handicap Revision. Handicap Indexes used to determine a competitors Playing Handicap will not exceed 18.0 for Division 1 and 36.0 for Division 2.

 

Field:

The Championship Proper field is limited to 120 players. Entries will be selected in the order they are received (first come, first served).

 

Schedule:

Round 1 – August 22 (18 Holes)

Round 2 – August 23 (18 Holes) for the top 50 & ties from Division 1 only
***Any tie for first place (gross) in either division will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage:

A complimentary luncheon will be provided for all competitors on August 22.

 

Starting Times:

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the entry close date.

 

Practice Rounds:

Practice round privileges are at the discretion of the qualifying site and championship proper host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

 

Prizes:

Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

 

Trophy:
Permanent Trophies engraved with name of champion from each division.

Senior Bowl - Low Gross in each Division (1 & 2)
Philbrick Trophy - Low Net in each Division (1 & 2)
Gerry Baker Legends Trophy - Low Gross and Low Net in each Division (1 & 2)
***Players age 70+ as of August 22, 2022 are eligible for the Gerry Baker Legends Trophy***

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
