The current Rules of the USGA and R&A govern play. Complete Rules may be found in the current “Rules of Golf” and “Committee Procedures.”    Disregard Local Rules printed on club scorecards or posted at the course

 

Format:  18 Holes Stroke Play     Pace of Play: 4 hrs. 30 min     •     9 Holes Stroke Play    Pace of Play: 2 hrs. 15 min

 

Pace-of-Play: Player will have no more than 40 seconds to hit their shot. First breach-WarningSecond breach-1-strkoe penalty

GPS & Lasers (WITHOUT Slope/Slope turned OFF) are allowed. 

Maximum Score: Double Par (Par 3: Max 6; Par 4: Max 8, Par 5: Max 10)

Continuous Putting: Once it is your turn to putt, continue until ball is holed or you have met “max” score

Caddies: All players 8 years old and younger must be accompanied by someone 13 years old or older to serve as their caddie. All players under the age of 12 are encouraged to have caddies. NO CADDIES FOR 12-18 DIVISION.

Drop Zones: (if applicable) Designated by colored noodles. Procedure: drop within 1 Driver length to either side or behind and add 1 penalty stroke. (Holes 13, 15)

Bunkers: You are allowed to Lift Clean and Place your ball if it lies in a footprint or abnormal depression inside of a bunker. Place the ball near its original spot (inside of the bunker) and no closer to the hole (No Penalty).

Lost Ball or OB: 3-minute search for L.B. Procedure: If you think your ball may be lost, announce and hit a Provisional Ball. If original ball is not found, continue play with Provisional ball and add penalty stroke.

Play 2 balls: When not certain how to proceed

Embedded Ball: “General Area” is in effect. (fairway, rough)

Out of Bounds (OB) – Penalty for a Ball OB is 1-stroke and drop where last stroke played: 

Hole #1, #6,#17- internal OB -the area to the left of ‘hole #9 cart path’ for the play of hole #1, area left of wetland on hole 6 is OB, left of water on #17 is OB. Ball on that cart path it is not out of bounds.

Penalty Areas (WATER)– RED Penalty is lateral—2-club length relief/back on line relief/stroke & distance--Add 1 stroke penalty

Wetland on Hole 6 is NO PLAY ZONEProcedure: Same as Red Penalty Area drop--Add 1 penalty stroke

Obstructions FREE RELIEF – drop within one club length of complete relief no closer to hole

Ground Under Repair FREE RELIEF – drop within one club length of compete relief no closer to hole

Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Green:  FREE RELIEF – drop within one club length of complete relief no closer to hole is available only when the ball and the obstruction lie on or within 2 club-lengths of the putting green & the ball.

Integral Objects:  When located within penalty areas, artificial walls and pilings are integral objects – NO FREE RELIEF.

Seams of Cut Turf:  If a player’s ball lies in or touches a seam or interferes with the player’s area of intended swing: FREE RELIEF

Loose Impediments: Wood chips and mulch are loose impediments.

Spectators: Must keep carts on paths at all times; Must stay on or near cart path when possible & never be on putting green Tiebreakers: Scorecard playoff for all positions. USGA (last 9,6,3,1)

Suspension of Play Due to a Dangerous Situation: Discontinue Play Immediately: One prolonged blast. Discontinue Play: 3 consecutive short blasts, repeated. Resume Play: Two short signal notes, repeated.

 

*Rules Committee reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to dismiss any player, caddie or spectator at any time and for any reason during any event.

 

Close of Competition: The competition is final when the winner has been announced, or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee. 

 

SCORING:  Located TBD immediately after conclusion of play.
