**GAP Entry Policies**

 

Registration Fee: $135 per individual.

 

Registration Opens: July 26 at 9 a.m.

Registration Closes: August 23 at 11:59 p.m.

 

Format: Two-day, 36-hole individual stroke play event with a cut to the low 70 and ties for the second round. In the case where weather interferes with the tournament, it may be reduced to one-day, 18-hole event.

 

Eligibility: Open to GAP members who are 55 years of age or older as of the first day of the Championship. Players must have a GAP/USGA Handicap Index of 7.0 or lower. 

 

Field Size: Limited to 144 players. If oversubscribed, exempt and low indexes entered will fill the field. 

 

Practice Rounds: Practice rounds, on a very limited availability, are available for this event.  Players must email the head golf professional, Cameron Gunn cameron.gunn@steel.club to inquire about availability.  The practice round fee is $35 and includes the use of a cart.  The preferred payment option is credit card ONLY.

 

Starting Times: Beginning at 7:30 a.m. on 10-minute intervals off the 1st tee only. Round 2 tee times will be from highest to lowest off the first tee only unless weather dictates a 2 tee start. 

 

Transportation: Players may take a cart, bring a caddie or use a push cart.  The cart fee is $35 per round and it was NOT included in the registration fee.  Players taking a cart MUST check in with the golf shop prior to each round.

  

Ties: Sudden death playoff. Duplicate prizes for ties for second overall low gross, payout to be broken by USGA-recommended scorecard tie-breaking. All other ties to be broken by using the USGA-recommended scorecard tie-breaking method.
