*This event serves as a concurrent qualifier for the CGA Amateur Championship. The qualifier is first and foremost a USGA Amateur championship qualifier. Only players that are registered for the USGA Amateur Championship qualifier may also use this site as a CGA Amateur Qualifier. You may not play in this event as a CGA Amateur Qualifier only.

Registration Closes: June 22, 2022 at 5:00pm EDT

 

Field Size: Maximum of 84 players.

 

Entry Fee: $180

 

Handicap Index Limit: 2.4

 

Tournament Information

 

Mobile Scoring: Players will score on their cell phones using the Golf Genius App. Please CLICK HERE to view the mobile scoring instructions.

 

Walking Only Event: All stages of a United States Amateur Championship are walking only. Caddies are allowed in all stages of qualifying and may not take carts.

 

Pull Carts: Columbine Country Club does not allow pull carts.


Caddies: Columbine CC has an on-site caddie program. To reserve a caddie for the day, please email Steve Dillon - caddiemaster@columbinecc.com

 

Format: 36 holes of stroke play (there is no cut)

 

Qualifying Positions: 2

 

Alternate Positions: 2

 

Starting Times: Round 1 will begin at 7:00 a.m. from holes #1 and #10. Round 2 will begin at approximately 12:00 p.m. from holes #1 and #10.

 

Driving Range: The driving range will be available beginning at 6:00 a.m. at no additional charge to the player.

 

Practice Rounds: Practice Rounds will be available on July 5th in the afternoon for a rate of $50. Please call the golf shop to set up a time. (303) 794-2674

 

Player Food: Will be available to purchase. Cash and Credit Card will be accepted. 

 

Score Posting: The CGA will post tournament scores to GHIN.


 


 

USGA Policies & Local Rules in Effect

 

Distance Measuring Devices: Must measure distance only.

 

Green Maps: Please note that any green reading materials must adhere to the 2019 updated standards.

 

Prohibiting Use of Audio and Video Devices: During a round, a player must not listen to or watch content of any nature on a personal audio or video device (G-8).

 

Replacement of Broken or Significantly Damaged Club: Model Local Rule G-9 is in effect. CLICK HERE for a full explanation.

 

Ball Played from Outside Relief Area When Taking Back-On-the-Line Relief: Model Local Rule E-12 is in effect. CLICK HERE for a full explanation.

 

Limiting When Stroke Made From Putting Green Must Be Replayed Under Exception 2 to Rule 11.1b: Local Rule as prescribed in the Clarifications to the 2019 Rules of Golf is in effect. Model Local Rule D-7.

 

Official in Charge: An official in charge cannot set-up a golf course or officiate Rules if that person is also a participant at the qualifying site.

 

One Ball Rule: Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-4.

 

Clubs: Grooves - Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-3.

 

Footwear: It is a condition at all qualifying sites unless otherwise indicated by an asterisk on this entry application that shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.
