Just Golf Thursdays
Just Golf Thursdays is a recurring 18-hole golf event every Thursday morning. You do not have to play every week - just register for the Player Roster and then sign up for the rounds that you want to play.
What is Just Golf? Just that……just golf!! We will reserve tee times at various courses throughout the Chicago Metro area. No prizes, no gimmicks……just golf!! Guests are allowed, but limited to one per member per season and is subject to availability.
Note: Players must either be willing to share a cart or be willing to walk. Single cart availability is up to the course.

Play will start in May and run through the end of September.

How it works
Registration: If you are interested in playing with the group at all, go to Home > Player Registration in order to join the Player Roster. There should also be a registration link on the left side of this homepage. You will need to know your LPGA ID in order to register or edit your registration. Joining the Player Roster does not sign you up to play - you will still need to sign-up for each round you wish to play.
All active members (as of April 1) who were registered for Just Golf Thursdays in 2021 have been automatically registered for 2022. If you would like to be removed from the Player Roster, please contact Lori Knaub or change your registration status (Home > Player Registration > Edit Registration > Cancel Registration).
Round Sign-up: Sign-ups will open at 7 AM on the Friday 2 weeks prior, and close at 12 noon on the Monday prior. You will receive an automatic email from Golf Genius announcing that signups are open, with an option to respond with Playing or Not Playing. There should also be a link on the left side of this homepage that shows rounds open with a link to sign-up, or you can go to Home > Calendar (LPGA ID required). Space is usually limited to 16-24 players. If space is full, you will be put on a waitlist. If a confirmed player cancels, the first player on the waitlist will automatically be confirmed and receive an email. To see who and how many have signed up, go to Player Info > Tee Sheets.
Cancellations: The sign-up deadline (Monday 12 noon before play) is also the cancellation deadline. To cancel, simply change your status from Playing to Not Playing before the deadline. After the deadline, we assume that confirmed players are committed to playing. We understand that sometimes last minute conflicts arise, but hopefully those are the exception not the rule. Thanks for your cooperation!
Tee times and pairings: Tee times and pairings will be set in order to maximize diversity and fairness with respect to playing partners and order of groups over the season. Tee sheets will be emailed to those playing that week. You can also go to the Portal or App under Home > Calendar - Tee Sheets or Player Info > Tee Sheets. Tee sheets should be available by the Tuesday morning before play. If you need to switch tee times, please contact the players in that group for a volunteer. You can also contact Lori Knaub in advance if you need to request an early or late tee time for an upcoming date. Requests will be handled on an exception basis only.
Payment: Players will pay the course directly each week. If you fail to cancel and do not show up, you will be required to reimburse the chapter for any fees if the course requires payment.
Contacting others: There are 2 ways to contact others in the group. Go to Player Info > Player Roster. Check the box(es) next to the player(s) you want to contact (include yourself to get a copy) and then click Email. Another way is to go to League Talk & Photos > League Talk. Type in a message (can include attachments) and click Share. Your message will be visible to all who access the Portal. Either method could also be a good way to communicate in case of weather-related cancellations or questions.
Golf Genius app: You can also download the Golf Genius app on your phone. Select GGID where it says SIGN IN USING. (Email and password will not work.) Type in the GGID for this group - JGTHU22 - and click Sign In. Select MEMBER PORTAL.
