2022 U.S. Women's Open Qualifying - Worcester CC

Practice Rounds: A practice round may be scheduled by sending an e-mail to Aaron Walker and identifying yourself as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds available for competitors only and each player is limited to one practice round. Mass Golf and the USGA requests that each player play only one ball at each hole during the practice round. Please arrive to the club no more than 45 minutes prior to your scheduled practice round. Please note, the course will be in the process of aeration from April 18th - April 20th. The cost of a practice round is $30 - CASH ONLY

Starting Times:  Play will begin at 8:00am off the 1st & 9th tees. Players will be given approximately 25-35 minutes between Rounds 1 & 2. Pairings & Starting Times will be available by the end of business on Thursday, April 7th. When available, players can access starting times by clicking the "Starting Times" tab above. 

 

Withdrawals:  Please advise the Mass Golf office immediately by e-mailing ghowell@massgolf.org if you are unable to compete. Failure to advise the Mass Golf office may disqualify the player from future USGA competition. 

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 1 Qualifying Spot and 2 Alternate Spots. Qualifying players will advance to the 77th U.S. Women's Open Championship at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club (Southern Pines, NC).  

 

Distance Devices:  The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation will NOT be permitted during the player's round. Pull/push carts will be permitted.

 

Caddies & Push Carts: Players are permitted to employ a caddy and/or use a push cart. If a player would like to arrange employment of a Worcester CC caddy, arrangements must be made in advance by contacting the Worcester CC Pro Shop - please e-mail Aaron Walker at walkera@worcestercc.org. Yardage books are available for purchase in the Pro Shop. 

 

Golf Ball:  The One-Ball Rule will be in effect.  See Appendix I of the Rules of Golf.

 

Competition Tees/ Yardage: Compeition Tees & Yardage are approximate and subject to change. Please see the chart below for approximate yardage estimates, along with the correlating club tee marker to play during a practice round. The competition will be played from approximately 5,900 yards - Par 70.

Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be open and available at 7:00am. Access to facilities may be limited due to COVID-19 policies set by the state of Massachusetts, Mass Golf, the USGA, or the host facility. Please follow & observe any signage or instructions received in regards to COVID  policies. 

 

Food & Beverage: More information regarding Food & Beverage will be distributed to players on a date closer to the qualifier. 

 

Dress Code:  Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the application. 

 

*Please also review the 2022 USGA Hard Card and other policies located under the tab labled "USGA Policies" prior to competion.

 

*There will be no regsitration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to recieve local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
