*The Grand Final will take place on the main course and may be subject to date change due to club operations nearer the date (Provisional Date TBC).

All events will take place as a 9.00am shotgun start with the exception of the Grand Final which will be an afternoon event.

 

Series Membership

 

Membership is open to the first 44 Juniors subscribing to the Junior Series which entitles each participant to the following :

  • 8 Tournament Rounds -  inclusive of the following
  • Warm up practice on the day of each event
  • Complimentary practice round on Par 3 course prior to each event
  • Members Gift pack
  • 3 Prize Categories in each event
  • Special prizes in each event: Dodge Hole in One Prize, Nearest the Pin Prize & Target Green

 

Rules & Regulations

 

Event Rules & Regulations

 

  1. The events will commence each month as a shotgun start with each player allocated a starting hole and group
  2. Players are asked to be present a minimum of 15 minutes before the start of each event for a tournament briefing 
  3. All players will proceed to their allocated hole and start the event at the same time each month
  4. The player with the lowest gross score in each event will be declared the overall event winner
  5. The player with the lowest net score in their respective age group will be declared the winner of the net division in each event.
  6. In the event of a tie for any categories, the scores will be decided in a card playoff
  7. Any disputes or decisions over scoring will be finalized by the club

 

Format

  1. Each event will be played over 9 holes of the Academy Par 3 course from the Dodge tee markers
  2. The format for each event is Limited Strokeplay - Maximum score of 7 shots
    1. Any players not completing a hole after 7 shots may pick up and mark 7 as their hole score
    2. Every hole should have a score entered regardless of whether the hole was completed or not 
  3. The final score will be the total of the 9 holes: All scores should be entered clearly on the scorecard
  4. All players should return a scorecard for each event with signatures of both player and marker to verify the score

 

Handicaps

Each player in the series will have their "Series Handicap" monitored and adjusted through the series events to indicate progress.

  • Handicaps should not be considered "official" and are solely for the running of the Dodge Challenger Junior Series.
  • Handicaps for the series start at 15 and subject to scoring can be adjusted upwards to a maximum of 18
  • Handicaps will be reduced subject to the scores in any individual event is lower than the average handicap or as determined by the tournament committee.
  • Players who have competed in previous years of the Junior Series will retain their previous handicap
  • New Player's will be assigned a handicap based on their registration form average Par 3 Scoring ability
  • Players winning the Nett Category in their age division will receive a higher handicap reduction allowing more winners in the series 

 

Order of Merit Rules & Regulations

 

  1. Order of Merit points are issued in each event based on the individual finish position in the field
  2. In the event of a tie for 1st place a scorecard playoff will decide the outright winner and 1st place points
  3. Points for all other placings will be split in the event of ties 
  4. The Order of Merit placings will decide the Grand Final Championship Finalists
    1. The Top 15 players after event 7 will play on the Championship Course over a 9 Hole modified layout
    2. The players in places 16th to 44th after event 7 will play the Par 3 Grand Final
    3. The remainder of the Par 3 field will be made up by invitations and Academy Graduates from Arabian Ranches Junior Academy
  5. Order of Merit Points for the 2017/18 series is based on the following scale:

 

       1st: 100               6th: 70             11th - 15th: 35

       2nd: 90                7th: 65             16th - 20th: 20

       3rd: 85                8th: 60              21st - 30th: 15

       4th: 80                9th: 55              31st - 37th: 10

       5th: 75               10th: 50             38th - 44th: 5
