QUALIFYING FORMAT & TIES
The qualifying format is two 9-hole stipulated rounds (18 holes total) of stroke play. If weather or darkness delays play and the field is able to finish the first 9-holes, the second 9-hole round will be canceled and the cut will be based on the completed 9-hole round.
If there is a tie for the last qualifying spot or an alternate position, a sudden-death playoff will be used. If a playoff is impracticable, ties will be broken by matching scorecards.
PAIRINGS
Pairings will be posted at least five (5) days before your qualifier date. Click here to view your qualifier's pairings by selecting your site from the drop-down menu.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
The availability and pricing of practice rounds is set at the discretion of the host club. Please contact the club for more information.
CADDIES
The use of a caddie during qualifying rounds is permitted, but it must not be a parent or guardian. Caddies are not permitted during Championship practice or competition rounds.
GOLF AND PUSH CARTS
The use of a golf cart is not permitted. Push carts, whether manual or electric, are permitted.
QUALIFYING PLAYERS & ALTERNATES
Players who qualify will be contacted via email with additional pertinent information for the Championship. Alternates will be contacted if a spot becomes available, please do not contact the NYSGA unless you do not wish to remain an alternate.
WITHDRAWALS
If a player must withdraw, please contact the NYSGA office at 315-471-6979.
DRESS CODE
Players are required to wear neatly pressed, traditionally accepted golf attire. If a player is found to be wearing clothing contrary to this code, or is wearing acceptable clothing in a non-traditional manner, he will be asked to make the necessary corrections or risk the penalty of disqualification.
