History of the Dolly Sullivan Team Best-Ball Tournament: This tournament honors the memory of Dolly Sullivan, a long-time supporter of women’s golf and the niece of Francis Ouimet. This annual fundraising tournament and its proceeds benefit the WGAM Jr. Scholarship Fund, Inc., and the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund/Dolly Sullivan Fund. The tournament was first held at The Country Club of Halifax in 1982 and has been an annual tournament run for women in Massachusetts since 1994. Last year’s 2021 overall winners were Thorny Lea Golf Club and TPC Boston.

 

Rules of Golf: The USGA® Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

 

Mass Golf Policies & Procedures: Please refer to Policies & Procedures and Pace of Play Policy.

 

Format: 18 holes - Best Ball of Four - Stroke play Gross and Net Divisions.

 

Handicap Index® not exceeding 54.0. Players with a handicap index of higher than 36.0 will be limited to a 36.0 Playing Handicap™.

                      

Shotgun Times: Refer to pairings and starting hole assignments.

For the 8:00 AM shotgun, golfers to be ready at their carts by 7:50 AM.

For the 2:00 PM shotgun, golfers to be ready at their carts by 1:50 PM.

 

 

Handicaps: All golfers will play to 75% of their Playing Handicap™ as of August 9, 2022.

 

Scorecards: Paper scorecards will be provided to all participants for the player’s own notes. All paper scorecards are considered UNOFFICIAL. The official scorecard will be the mobile golf genius app scoring. Prior to the tournament, players should download the Golf Genius App. You will be provided a GGID number on your scorecards and that is the number you type into the app to see your foursome.

 

Enter Gross scores only in the app. Net will be calculated by the app. After all player’s gross scores are entered for a hole, click “Save Scores”. Only one person from the foursome is responsible for inputting scores in the app. You can toggle back and forth from the score input page to the leaderboard near the top of the phone app screen. The designated scorekeeper in the group is responsible for checking hole by hole gross scores at the scoring area with a Mass Golf representative. Mass Golf will not be posting scores to GHIN.

                          

Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees from 5,135 yards.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Policies & Procedures.

 

Practice Areas: The driving range will be available and have balls provided before play starting at 7:00AM. The driving range is located to the right of the clubhouse and the practice putting green is located directly behind the clubhouse.

 

Parking and Carts: When you arrive you can either park right away in any of the multi-level parking lots or drop off your clubs using the bag drop which is stationed right at the cart staging area. Everything is very centrally located at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club with the parking lots, carts, clubhouse, and practice areas!

Please note that the carts are NOT allowed to go the parking lot or range before or after play.

 

Hole Locations: Hole location sheets are in the player portal HERE.

 

Bathrooms: Bathrooms are located inside the clubhouse and in the golf shop. Bathrooms are also located on the course at the snack shack, meeting between the 5th tee, 10th tee, 14th green, and 18th tee.

  

Water and Snacks: The snack shack is located between the 5th tee, 10th tee, 14th green, and 18th tee, and has a water station available.

 

Food and Beverage – Buffet: Buffet lunch is included and will be available in the Ballroom starting at 12:00 PM. The buffet will include an assorted sandwich platter with turkey, roast beef, chicken salad, ham and swiss, and vegetables with hummus. The buffet sides will include a pickle tray, house made potato chips, and pasta salad. Water and lemonade will be available to drink, and cookies and brownies available for dessert. There will be to go boxes for those wanting to take their lunch to go for the Monday PM Shotgun.

 

Scoring: At the end of the round all scores must be verified by the team before your team’s designated app scorekeeper and unofficial written scorekeeper reports to the scoring tent. These designated scorekeepers are the ONLY individuals from the foursome that needs to report to the scoring area. All other players must not congregate near the scoring area. The designated scorekeeper in the group is responsible for checking hole by hole gross scores at the scoring area with a Mass Golf representative. Mass Golf staff will verify with the designated scorekeepers that their scores are accurate and will take a verbal yes as a confirmation/signature as this will be a no touch process.

 

Awards: Ties honored for first place gross only. All other ties will be decided by matching cards in accordance with USGA recommended method. Prize certificates to be used at host club. Tee prizes will be distributed to all participants.
