CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:

  • Prior to participating, participants should review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
  • The SCGA's mask policy follows in accordance with the CDC and the California Department of Public Health. This is subject to change due to any local guidelines or site protocols. Click here to learn more.

 

TEAM ROSTER:

  • Team Captains must have their lineups in the Portal no later than 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

 

FORMAT:

  • 18-hole four-ball match play, utilizing the current Handicap Index as of Saturday June 18, 2022.
  • Awards will be given to the team who accumulate the most four-ball points in total.
  • In the event of a tie, the total points earned by Club A’s teams 1 and 2 shall be compared to the total points earned by Club B’s teams 1 and 2.  The Club with the most points wins the tiebreaker and the match.  If a tie still exists, the total points earned by each club’s teams 3 and 4 will be compared.  If a tie still exists, this same procedure will be used for teams 5 and 6, then 7 and 8 until a winner is determined.

 

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

  • Players may make arrangements for practice rounds at their own expense by contacting Rancho Bernardo Inn GC at (866) 901-5547. Practice rounds are available at the course’s discretion and based upon availability. Please identify yourself as a participant in the SCGA Women's Team Play Championship when calling.
  • Practice rounds are a privilege, not a right. The SCGA works with a variety of facilities throughout the course of the year, all of which have unique policies and procedures when it comes to practice rounds. These opportunities will be provided at the sole discretion of the host facility.
  • We are guests and must follow all facility policies and guidelines when on property. Behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.

 

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS: 

  • Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
  • The Championship starting times will begin at 12:27 p.m. and go through 1:12 p.m. using 9 minute intervals.  Additionally, there are NO tee times available for alternates to play. 
  • Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive once the preceding group has teed off. Players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late.

 

TEES & YARDAGE:   

  • All yardages and course information can be found in the “Yardage Information” tab located on the Championship Portal.

 

DRIVING RANGE:

  • The driving range will be available prior to the starting times.  
  • Range balls will be provided compliments of Rancho Bernardo Inn and the SCGA.
  • Players will receive a code from the starter's window to receive their practice range balls.

 

FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:

  • There are 2 restaurants available on premise as well as a snack bar. All will be open and available for players to purchase any food itmes using a credit card. 

 

RULES OF PLAY:

 

GOLF CARTS, PULL/PUSH CARTS:

  • Golf carts are included as part of the entry fee and all players MUST ride. 
  • There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart.  Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).  SCGA will host one cart for each team for a designated official (non-playing captain, club professional, etc.).  No other carts will be permitted.

 

CADDIES & SPECTATORS:

  • Caddies are not permitted at the championship.
  • Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility.

 

DRESS CODE:

  • Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any facility-specific policies.
