2022 U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifying - Charles River

Practice Rounds: A practice round may be scheduled by contacting the Charles River Pro Shop and identifying yourself as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds are available for players only, and may be booked for any of the three dates/times below, subject to club availability. Each player is limited to one complimentary practice round. If a player rides during the practice round, the cost of a cart will be $30 -  CASH ONLY. 

 

Available Dates: Monday, July 11th after 1PM; Wednesday, July 13th after 3pm; Monday, July 18th after 1PM

 

Starting Times:  Play will begin at 7:30am off the 1st & 10th tees. When available, see the "Starting Times" tab above to view the pairings and starting times. There will be two qualifiers conducted concurrently at Charles River with separate tees, this qualifier will be played from the WHITE USGA tees. 

 

Withdrawals:  Please advise the Mass Golf office immediately by e-mailing ghowell@massgolf.org if you are unable to compete. Failure to advise the Mass Golf office may disqualify the player from future USGA competition. 

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 3 Qualifying Spot and 2 Alternate Spots. Qualifying players will advance to the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship at Kittansett Club (Marion, MA).  

 

Distance Devices:  The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is permitted for the Qualifier. Players and/or caddy are permitted to ride in the golf cart, but NOT at the same time. Mass Golf does not permit more than 2 carts per pairing group in USGA qualifiers. Push/Pull carts are also permitted. The cost of a golf cart ($30 - CASH ONLY) is the responsibility of the player - and should be paid to the golf shop prior to the round. 

 

Caddies & Push Carts: Players are permitted to employ a caddy and/or use a push cart.  

 

Golf Ball:  The One-Ball Rule will be in effect.  See Appendix I of the Rules of Golf.

 

Competition Tees/ Yardage: Compeition Tees & Yardage are approximate and subject to change. For an accurate representation of yardages, players should play the BLUE tees. The competition will be played from approximately 6,500 yards - Par 72. 

 

Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be open and available at 6:30am. 

 

Food & Beverage: More details regarding Food & Beverage will be available leading up to the qualifier. 

 

Dress Code:  Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the application. 

 

*Please also review the 2022 USGA Hard Card and other policies located under the tab labled "USGA Policies" prior to competion.

 

*There will be no regsitration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to recieve local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
