Weather Policy

Any questions pertaining to a WAGC Tournament being played due to weather conditions, should be directed to the Tournament Director listed on the Tournament Info page. When the potential of weather disrupting play is present, WAGC will discuss with the Host Facility and reach a decision as to whether play may begin, may continue or will be stopped.  Any decision or updates, will be communicated through the WAGC Mobile App, text, and/or email.

If the course allows play and WAGC deems that it is safe to play, we will play.

WAGC will monitor the weather leading up to and during all tournaments for any condition that may delay or suspend play.

PLAYER SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

If such inclement weather looks certain the day before the event the tournament director will do their best to cancel the event so that players can avoid unnecessary travel.

All efforts to complete all 18 holes for Local Events, 36 holes for National Regional Events, and 54 holes for the National Championship will be made.

if inclement weather occurs during play, every effort will be made by the tournament staff to get in the full number of prescribed holes.  If play looks as though it can resume within a few hours, all players should remain on property, and await official announcements from the tournament staff and host facility.

If play must be canceled, the event will be considered official if the last pairing finished a minimum of 9 holes for local events, and 18 holes for Majors and Nationals. If the last group has not finished as described, then the event will try to be rescheduled if possible. If the last group finishes more than described, but less than the total, the event will then become a 9-hole event for local and 18 for majors and Nationals.
