Men’s Interclub Matches Championship

ELIGIBILITY

Entries are open to male amateur golfers who are members of the representing club entry.  Players must have played in at least one regular season match to qualify to play in the championship. 

FIELD

16 MEMBER CLUBS.  The field is limited to the pod winner and runner-up of each of the 7 regional pods defining the Interclub Matches and 2 wild-card entries as determined by GSGA.

FORMAT

36 holes of Four-Ball stroke play

  • First round, Monday, November 14 – Shotgun start @ 12:00 p.m.  18 holes of Four-Ball stroke play with the low two of three sides Four-Ball scores counting as the team total
  • Second round, Tuesday, November 15 – Shotgun start @ 10:00 a.m.  18 holes of Four-Ball stroke play with the low two of three sides Four-Ball scores counting as the team total
  • Four-Ball players will be paired based on the order submitted by the club, i.e., players #1 and #2, players #3 and #4, and players #5 and #6
  • Starting holes for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at www.gsga.org and at the club prior to the competition

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below prior to the competition.  Please call Crystal Falls Golf Club at 770-894-4972 to reserve your practice round starting time.  Practice round cart and range fee is $45 plus tax. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted. 

  • Anytime after 1:00 p.m. (closed on Mondays)

YARDAGES & TEES

A combination of tee markers and yardages will be utilized.  Yardages will be posted to the event portal page when available and will be available at the club. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

GOLF SHOP &

DRIVING RANGE:

The golf shop and driving range will open two hours prior to the shotgun start time each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times and holes for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on November 7. 

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player substitutions may be called or e-mailed in to the GSGA office so that the alternate can be inserted into the field.  Please contact Colton Dean @ 678-324-5973 or CDEAN@GSGA.ORG.

CARTS

Practice carts and range fees are $45 plus tax.  Tournament round cart and range fees are included.  Credit cards will be accepted.

Food service will be available in the clubhouse.  Credit cards ONLY will be accepted.

PLAYER HOSPITALITY

GSGA provided lunch and beverages following Round 2 on Tuesday, November 15 at Crystal Falls Golf Club.

PRIZES

Gift certificates will be awarded to the top 3 clubs.  The Interclub trophy will be presented to the winner.
