Championship Fee: $175 (Cards will not be charged until confirmation of entry into the field)

 

Entries Open: Friday, April 14 (Noon, ET)

 

Entries Close: Friday, July 7 (11:59 p.m., ET)

 

  • If there are any unfilled positions in the field, late entries will be accepted with a $25 late registration.

 

Format: 36 holes of stroke play.

 

Eligibility: Open to players with an active World Handicap System Index and a WR4GD Pass.  This is a WR4GD Counting Event.

  • All exempt players to register will receive immediate entry into the field. All other entries will be placed on a pending list until the entry deadline. Striving for the goal of inclusivity, the GSGA will accept entries equally across all Impairment Categories amongst those who have registered. Secondarily, the GSGA selection process will take WR4GD Rankings, USAGA Rankings and Handicap Index into effect in determining the field.

Divisions/Flights: The championship will consist of divisions based on Age, Gender, and Impairment Category.

 

Yardages & Tees: Yardages and tees will be released following the close of entries and will be based on Gender, Age Category, and Impairment Category.

 

Golf Shop & Driving Range: The golf shop and all practice areas will open one hour prior to the first tee time each day of the championship.

 

Starting Times: Starting times for the practice round and championship will be assigned by the GSGA and communicated to all players via email and text. You may also visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times approximately one week prior to the championship.

 

Registration: Formal registration will be held at Bobby Jones Golf Course on Friday, November 3rd. Additional details will be communicated with the field following the close of entries.

 

Practice Round: The designated practice round date is Friday, November 3rd. Practice round cart and range fee is included in the Championship Fee for this date.

 

Welcome Reception: The player's welcome reception will take place on Friday, November 3rd following the practice round. This event is included in the Championship Fee. More details will be made available following the close of entries.

 

Player Hospitality: Player hospitality will be available each day and is included in the Championship Fee. More details will be made available following the close of entries.

 

Player Meals: Lunch will be available each afternoon of the competition (Saturday & Sunday) and is included in the Championship Fee.

 

Trophy Presentation: A brief trophy presentation will be held near the scoreboard following the conclusion of the competition. Trophies will be awarded to the overall champion, seated champion, and women’s champion. Gift cards courtesy of PGA TOUR Superstore will be awarded to top finishers across all divisions.

 

Caddies & Player Aides: Players are responsible for planning for a caddie and/or player aide should they choose to use one. A limited number of caddies and/or player aides can be made available by the GSGA upon advanced request. Players may ride in a cart or walk. Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf will be utilized for the championship. Local Rules and a Notice to Competitors will be provided to each player prior to the championship and before each round of competition.

 

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to the top finishers overall and in each division. Gift certificate breakdown will be available the week of the championship.

Refund Policy: A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws must be made by calling the official in-charge, Kevin Duffy, at 678-324-5984 or via email at kduffy@gsga.org. 

 

Host Site Information: Bobby Jones Golf Course boasts one of the few reversible golf courses in the United States. For the championship, both the Magnolia & Azalea routings will be utilized.
