FORMAT/QUALIFYING PLACES:  The field of 21 contestants will compete over 18 holes for 5 qualifying places and 2 alternate positions in the 2023 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship to be played September 9-14, 2023 at Stonewall (North Course) in Elverson, PA.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS:  Practice rounds will be available based on club availability on the dates and times listed below.  Players must call Pinetree Country Club to make arrangements for a starting time.  Only one practice round per player will be allowed, and practice rounds will be limited to contestants only.  Practice round golf and range fee is $50 plus tax. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted in the pro shop.  No cash.

  • Tuesday - Friday, any time based on availability.
  • Saturday - Sunday, after 3 p.m., based on availability.

 

YARDAGES & TEES :  The practice yardage link on the PLAYER INFORMATION page will primarily be utilized for the qualifying round. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition. A practice yardage sheet will also be available in the golf shop.

 

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE:  The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m.

 

STARTING TIMES:  Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the USGA/GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on July 21. 

 

CADDIES:  Players may provide their own caddie.  It is recommended players have a caddie and that caddies rent carts to transport a player’s bag.  Caddies with carts will aid in shuttling players between green to tee on every hole if desired.

 

CARTS:  During the qualifying round, a caddie may transport a player’s bag on a cart for a fee of $30. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted in the pro shop.  No cash.  Spectator carts are strictly prohibited in all instances.

 

PRIZES:  A silver medal will be presented to the low scorer at the conclusion of the qualifying rounds.

 

REGISTRATION:  No formal registration will be held on site. Players should arrive to their assigned starting tee ten minutes before their starting time to allow for the starter to go over instructions and rules of play. Player withdraws must be called in to the GSGA office at (678) 324-5974 or e-mailed to RADAMS@GSGA.ORG

FOOD SERVICE:  Limited food and beverage items will be available in the grill beginning at 7:30 a.m. Credit cards ONLY.  No cash.
