Pari-Mutuel Betting

 

In this year’s Member/Member, we are offering another opportunity for betting on this event!  Pari-Mutuel Betting is a chance to place a small wager in which all bets of a particular type are put together in a pool and, playoff odds are calculated by sharing the pool among all the winning bets. 

 

Type of Wager

Flight Champions: Win, Place, Show (Choose from 17 teams in Flights 1 & 2, 16 teams in Flights 3,4, & 5)

 

Wagering Rules:

  1. Bets can ONLY be placed via email to Mike Lynch by Friday, July 7th 10:00 pm.
    1. When placing a bet via email, you need to include the following information:
      1. Send email to Mike Lynch at ltmgcmike@comcast.net
      2. Team name
      3. Minimum bet is $5.00 per bet with increments of $5.00.  No Maximum bet!
      4. Amount of bet in $5 increments on Win, Place, or Show.
      5. Example: Team 17, Win, Place, Show for $15
    2. Once the bet is entered into GG, you will receive an email back confirming your bet along with the amount.
  2. The Weather Contingencies rules for the tournament will apply for pair-mutuel betting.
  3. MAKE SURE THE BET AND AMOUNT IS CORRECT.  IF THERE IS A PROBLEM NOTIFY MIKE ASAP.  THIS PARIMUTUEL RECEIPT IS THE FINAL BET, NO CHANGES, NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

Payment Rules:

  1. You will need to pay your bet on Saturday morning.  Mike Morong will be on the patio beginning around 8:30 am.  Please pay Mike with either cash or check (preference is cash).  No payments will be accepted via Zelle.
  2. If you have a registered bet(s) and have not paid by the end of your Saturday round, your bet will be deleted.  We are trusting that if you place an email bet you will pay!

 

NO MORE BETS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 10:00PM ON JULY 7th

 

Parimutuel Odds and Winners:

  1. The odds will change depending on the amount of money wagered on that team.  The final odds will be posted on the M/M Portal Saturday morning.
  2. Winner is determined by lowest team net score by flight after both rounds.
  3. Tie will be broken by one of the following tie-breakers.
    1. Lowest Back 9 Sunday
    2. Lowest Front 9 Sunday
    3. Lowest 18 holes Sunday
    4. Lowest Back 9 Saturday
    5. Lowest Front 9 Saturday
    6. Lowest 18 holes Saturday
    7. Still a tie, monies will be split between the tied teams.
  4. If the winners do not have any bets against their Team, then that pool money will be paid to the next winning team in order of Win, Place and Show of teams that have bets place against their team.
  5. Payouts will be paid via cash on Sunday afternoon after both rounds have been completed and verified   
  6. At any time, you can also view the portal to see the current odds, final results along with the amount of bets placed per team.
