REFUND POLICY: Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness provided notification (accompanied by a doctor’s statement) reaches LGA office by July 11, 2023. A $20 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.
Championship conducted to determine the top male junior amateur in Louisiana for 2023. Overall Championship will be conducted over 54 holes and is open to any junior age 10-18 wishing to compete for the Junior Amateur Championship. Age-Group Championships are also available for those wishing to compete only against juniors their own age and will be conducted over 36 holes.
Player Dinner: There will be a player dinner at Walk On's in Zachary on Tuesday, July 11 at 7PM. The LGA will provide the meal for players. Parents may order off of the menu and pay with a credit card. The LGA has invited college golf coaches from around Louisiana to attend the dinner and be available for a Q&A.

Eligibility: Entries are open to any, Louisiana resident (as of at least 90 days prior to the Championship) who is an amateur golfer (as defined by the USGA) and is a member of a LGA Member Club in good standing (2023 club and individual dues must be paid). Entrants must be 10 years of age by midnight, July 12, 2023, and cannot have reached their 19th birthday by midnight, July 14, 2023. Non-amateurs are not eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at any time (including during the championship) by the LGA. Reasons for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.
Field/Format of Play: Limited to the first 156 entries. Participants must choose to enter either the appropriate Age-Group Championship (36 holes tournament play/July 12-13) OR the Overall Championship (54 holes tournament play/July 12-14). Groupings for Age-Group Championships will be as follows: Boys: 10-11, 12-13. Some Age-Groups will play from forward tees. Participant must declare his participation in the division which he intends to compete in during registration.
Dress Code: Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Important Note: Beaver Creek Golf Club is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.
Caddies: Competitors will not be permitted to use caddies. All participants will carry their own clubs. Pull carts will be permitted.
Practice Privileges: Practice privileges are extended to participants in the Championship at Beaver Creek Golf Club on July 11.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the Age-Group Championships (36 holes). The Overall Championship will be divided into a minimum of two flights and top three finishers in each flight will receive prizes (54 holes). The Junior Amateur Champion is also extended an invitation to participate in the 2023 Junior River Cup. The Champion will also receive a $400 gift certificate redeemable at the Beaver Creek Golf Club Golf Shop.

Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the current USGA Rules of Golf and LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. Automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies will not be permitted.
