Play will consist of 36 holes net stroke play. The field will be divided into divisions and flights based on USGA Handicap Indexes and gender. Number of flights determined by the size of field. The Men's & Women's Overall Champion may come from any flight within that division and will be the competitor that returns the low 36 hole net score. Scores will be calculated by subtracting PLAYING HANDICAP from GROSS SCORE. Limited to the first 144 competitors. Women will play from a forward set of tees. A golfer's Playing Handicap will be calculated based on 95% of their Course Handicap, per Rules of Handicapping recommendations for Individual Stroke Play competitions.

Participants may also elect to play in the concurrent Net Club Team Championship. Teams shall consist of four members of the same LGA Member Club or Association, regardless of gender (i.e. 3 men - 1 woman, 3 women - 1 man, 2-2 or all the same). Club's Team scores shall be calculated by counting the best three of four scores for each day's play. Winning Club will be determined by low total after 36 holes and will receive Club Team Championship trophy (Club may be represented by only three members but three scores must be counted per day). Scores will be calculated by subtracting PLAYING HANDICAP from GROSS SCORE. No additional entry fee for Net Club Team competition. Clubs may be represented by more than one four-man team.

HANDICAP & HANDICAP ADJUSTMENTS:  Due to the launch of the World Handicap System on January 1, 2020, the LGA Competition Committee has decided to use a golfer's Low Handicap Index (LHI) in the last six (6) months as of August 14th. This will be the basis for calculating a golfer's Playing Handicap for this competition.

The Committee, in addressing the manipulation of handicaps, may retroactively adjust a golfer's Playing Handicap after one or up to all rounds for scores that exceed normal probability. The Score Probability Chart will be used to adjust handicaps as the need arises (LGA policy paper on adjustment of handicap indexes and playing handicaps for further details).
