Massachusetts Junior Amateur Qualifying - Long Meadow Golf Club

Practice RoundsPlayers may arrange a practice round by contacting the golf shop and identifying themselves as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds will be offered based on club availability within the timeframes listed below. 

 

Availability:

Practice rounds are based on club availability on any given day; Call the Head Golf Professional (Shawn Scott - (978) 490-4816) and introduce yourself as a competitor to set up your practice round (Note: Long Meadow GC does not use "tee times" at their club, so you will be given an approximate tee time for your practice round). There will be a mandatory trail fee of $18.

Competition Tees/ Yardage: The competition will be played from the BLUE/WHITE tee yardage (Approx. 6,100 yards; par 72). 

 

Starting Times: Play will begin at 7:30am off the 1st tee. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times & Parings" tab above. There will be no registration on the day of the event, please report to your scheduled starting tee to receive local rules, hole locations, scorecard, etc. at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 7 players and ties will advance to the Championship Proper at GreatHorse on July 31 - August 3. Alternates will be assigned per the Mass Golf alternate policy. There will be no playoffs for qualifying or alternate spots. The number of qualifying spots is subject to change based on any withdrawals prior to the competition.

 

Golf Carts, Caddies, & Push/Pull Carts: The use of golf carts and/or caddies is NOT PERMITTED at Massachusetts Junior Amateur Qualifying. Push/Pull carts are permitted.

 

Club Facilities: Open and available starting at 7:00am. Mass Golf will provide lunch for competitors following the conclusion of the round. 

 

Junior Spectator/ Parent Policy: Please refer to the Mass Golf Junior Spectator/Parent Policy. 

 

Practice Range:  No Driving Range; Hitting Net + Short Game/Putting Green Area Only

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. It is the individual's player's responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.
