AGES/ELIGIBILITY

Open to male amateur golfers that are GSGA members, residents of the state of Georgia and have a handicap index not exceeding 10.0

CHAMPIONSHIP FEE

Player’s advancing to the Championship will be responsible for a $250 Championship fee. This fee will be charged to the player upon being transferred to the Championship proper in the online registration system after your qualifying round has concluded.

FIELD SIZE

78 players’ maximum at this qualifying site.

FORMAT

18 hole individual stroke play qualifier. A total of 144 players will advance to the Championship proper. Qualifying places will be awarded according to a pro-rated formula.  You will be informed as to the number of qualifying places in your section the day of qualifying.

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call Green Island Country Club to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your acceptance confirmation.  Practice round cart and range fee is $50 plus tax. Only credit cards will be accepted.

  • Monday-Thursday, anytime based on availability.
  • Friday-Sunday, after 2:00 p.m., based on availability.

The BLACK tee markers and yardages will be utilized for the qualifying round.  Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:30 a.m. the day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times posted to the event portal.

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player withdraws must be called or e-mailed to the GSGA office so that an alternate may be contacted. By registering for this competition, you agree to all of GSGA's policies and procedures that can be accessed using the following link: GSGA Policies & Procedures

CARTS

Practice carts and range fees are $50 plus tax. Tournament round cart and range fees are included in the entry fee. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted.

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available.

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or via email. If a player notifies the GSGA of their withdrawal from a qualifier for the Amateur, Junior, Match Play or Mid-Amateur Championship after the close of entries, but one week prior to the date of their qualifier, they will be granted a refund of 50% of their entry fee.
