73rd Massachusetts Women’s Stroke Play Championship for the Baker Trophy

Cape Cod Country Club | East Falmouth MA | May 23 - 24, 2023

 

Entry Fee: $250.00

Entries Open: 3/23/2023 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 4/27/2023 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:

• Any female amateur golfer who has an active Mass Golf Membership.
• Handicap Index® not exceeding 18.0 (at the time of registration).
• Have played and posted 5 rounds at any Mass Golf member club/course within 12 months of the entry close date.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Competition will be 36 Holes at Stroke Play in two separate divisions.

Players must select either the Championship Division or Tournament Division at the time of registration.

 

Playing Handicap (net scores): will be calculated based on the May 18, 2023 Handicap Revision. Handicap Indexes used to determine a competitors Playing Handicap will not exceed 18.0.

 

Field:

The Championship Proper field is limited to 75 players. Entries will be selected in the order they are received (first come, first served).

 

Schedule:

Round 1 – May 23(18 Holes)

Round 2 – May 24 (18 Holes)
***Any tie for first place (gross) in either Division will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Cart fee is included in entry fee for both rounds. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage:

A complimentary lunch will be provided for all competitors on May 23 & 24 at the host club.

 

Please note that due to the food & beverage limitations at the host club and the logistics surrounding the tee time structure for round one (morning tee times off the 1st & 10th tees), a formal dinner reception will not be a part of the event schedule. However, alternative plans are being worked through for a casual cocktail hour at a nearby venue (included in entry). Once plans and details are confirmed, they will be shared with all confirmed competitors.

 

Starting Times:

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the entry close date.

 

Practice Rounds:

Practice rounds privileges are at the discretion of the qualifying site and championship proper host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

 

Prizes:

Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

 

Trophy:
Permanent Trophies engraved with low gross winners’ names.

Championship Division – 5,700-6,000 yards
Tournament Division – 5,300-5,500 yards

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
