Eligibility: All players must be individual members of ASGA and full-time residents of the state of Arkansas.  Non-residents are not eligible, with the following exception:  a person may live across the state line, such as Texarkana, Texas, but must be a member of the Texarkana Country Club and an individual ASGA member.  The minimum age is 16 unless approved by the ASGA Women’s Committee.

 

Format: Participants will play an 18-hole qualifying round on Tuesday, July 11th. The round for the qualifying will be two 9-hole rounds and in the event of inclement weather, the qualifying score could be a 9-hole score. If field size allows, the top eight (8) qualifiers regardless of age and tees played will comprise the Championship Flight/bracket. The next eight (8) will comprise the First Flight and so on. If numbers in participation don’t bode well for match play the ASGA reserves the right to combine flights or change the format. If this happens all players will play same tees and the yardage used will be that of the highest age division. 

 

Entry Fee: The entry fee of $150 per player includes cart fees for all tournament rounds, range balls each day, lunch after the qualifying round and tee gifts. Following the first round of matches there will be a consolation bracket for all divisions where field size allows.

 

Tees: Championship, Mid Am and the Seniors will play from approximately 5600. Super Senior and Legends will play from approximately 5000. Two flights would equal more people and eliminate the problem of maybe only 2 people qualifying for The Championship. Points will be awarded for a persons appropriate age division. 

 

Entry Deadline: Friday July 7th, @ 4:00 p.m.  Players may submit entry forms via mail or online at www.asga.org with a credit card.

 

Schedule/Starting Times: With it being in the middle of July, we did not want any ladies being out in the late afternoon heat. Players will only play ONE match per day!!! 

 

Tuesday, July 11th – Tee times will begin at 8:00AM. Lunch will be provided after play. 

Wednesday, July 12th – Tee times will begin at 8:00AM for the first round of matches.

Thursday, July 13th –  Tee times will begin at 8:00AM for the semi-final matches and consolation bracket matches (Winners will advance to the finals of each flight played and will play on Friday. Losers will be eliminated)

Friday, July 14th –  Tee times will start at 8:00 AM for the Final matches. Following play will be an awards ceremony. 

 

Gift Certificates/Awards:  The winner and runner-up in all divisions will receive individual trophies. Pro Shop Certificates will be awarded based on field size in all flights/brackets. Prize breakdown will be shared with the players.

 

Practice Rounds:  Please call Burns Park GC at 501-906-6400 to schedule your practice round at a discounted of $12.
