Monday, September 25th -- First round (18 holes) - Tee times beginning at 10:00 am from #1 and #10 tees

Eligibility
Qualifiers from regular season Senior Series events.  Top fifteen (15) male players gross & net in each age division from the final Senior Series points standing qualifying for the championship. Players must have played in a minimum of five (5) regular season Senior Series events to be eligible for invitation to the Senior Series Championship.  

Entry Fee, Deadline and Procedure
$140.  Deadline for entry is Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11:59 PM.

Players that qualify for the championship will receive an email invitation.  Qualifying players must enter online or submit entry fee payment prior to the entry deadline.  Players that fail to enter prior to the entry deadline will not be entered into the championship.


Format
36 holes of individual stroke play with gross and net scoring with two age divisions.  Overall Champion to be determined in each division.  The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round.  Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.

Optional Skins Game
We will be running a daily optional skins game (gross and net) within the two age divisions for players that wish to participate.  The cost is $20 per player which gets the player into the game for both days of the championship.  If you wish to participate, please bring cash to the first day of the championship and give it to a staff member.  Note: a player can only win one skin per hole per day (i.e. can't win a gross & net skin on same hole on same day).

Course Set-Up
The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

 

  • 6,500 yards (50 to 64 Division)
  • 6,100 yards (65 & Older Division)

Players' Lunch
Lunch buffet will be provided on day two of the championship following the round.  Lunch is NOT provided prior to the round on day one, but will be available for purchase inside the host course clubhouse.  

Practice Round
No official practice round is offered, but players can play a practice round for the rate of $50 with cart.  Please call the golf shop to book a tee time and mention that you are a Senior Series Championship participant to receive the discounted rate.  

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities
Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only. 

Senior Cup Teams

Following the championship, the Ozark Senior Challenge Team will be named based on final results from the Senior Series Championship.  The players, age 50 to 64, with the best six final gross scores and the best six final net scores (after eliminating any gross qualifiers), plus two gross “captains’ pick” will comprise the fourteen member Kansas Senior Team that will compete against a team from the Missouri Golf Association.  The event will be held October 15-17, 2023 at Terradyne Country Club (Andover, KS).  Details of that event will be given to players that qualify.  Only players that entered the Senior Series Championship will be eligible for being selected as a captains pick.  In the event that a player that qualifies for Senior Cup Team and becomes unable to participate, the replacement player will be selected via Captains Pick.


Note: Players age 65 and over must indicate which cup team they would want to compete on before beginning play of the Senior Series Championship.  Otherwise they will be placed on the Super Senior Team.


The Association Senior Cup Team will be selected based only on the final results of the Senior Series Championship.  The players, age 65 & over, with the best four final gross scores and best four final net scores (after eliminating any gross qualifiers) and two gross “captains pick” will comprise the ten member Association Senior Cup Team competing against a team from the Missouri Golf Association. Carts, Spectators and Caddies
Carts are provided for both rounds of the championship as part of your entry fee.  Spectator carts will not be available.

Registration
There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Score Posting
Scores from each round of this championship will be posted to the GHIN Handicap System.

Tournament participants are invited to stay at the following hotels for the rate detailed below.  Please mention the group name to receive the preferred rate.

Method of Payments
The host club accepts all payment forms for purchases.

 

When Competition is Final
The competition is final when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee. The Result of a match is final when the Committee has approved the result as posted on the public scoreboard.
